My family and I had a great time on the "Street Food at Night" tour with our amazing guide, Ale. She is an outstanding tour guide. She was informative, engaging, and made it feel as if we were being taken around CDMX by a cool, new friend. The food was so delicious. At first, I was concerned about eating "street food" but got over it after the first stop (amazing tortas). We ate a couple of Michelin-starred restaurants during our stay in CDMX, but I honestly tell you that this food tour with Ale, away from the tourist areas, was a more authentic (and, for me, better) culinary experience. Highly recommend!

We did the Mexican 101 tour with Carla and it was phenomenal. Definitely the highlight of our trip and some of the best food we tasted throughout our whole trip! Carla was super knowledgable and took great care of us. She was super detailed and truly made the experience worthwhile!

We did the Mexican Food 101 tour on our second day in CDMX, and it completely blew us away! The food was amazing, we could have multiple portions of whatever we wanted, and Plaqueta, our tour guide, was able to answer all our questions and give us more insight into the city and ethical tourism in CDMX. It was also my birthday, and I was surprised with a sweet birthday treat at the end, which was a delicious surprise (:

We had a great time on the San Rafael and Tacuba Market tour. Every stop had incredible food with warm hosts. Plaqueta was one of the best tour guides we’ve had around the world. She’s funny, knowledgeable, and a great person. She shared left over food with those less fortunate and seems to be a local celebrity with several folks stopping her to say hi. We will recommend eat like a local to all of our friends who come to Mexico City.

We did the San Rafael & Tacuba Market tour with Plaqueta, and it was the highlight of our trip to Mexico City. She immediately felt like a friend—warm, funny, and full of great stories (and yes, her tattoos are amazing). The tacos were, of course, incredible, but the real surprise was how much history and cultural insight we got along the way. Plaqueta knew everything! From the design of the Metro system to the legendary Bauhaus show at the Cine Opera. Be warned: it’s a lot of food! I’d recommend splitting a few tacos with a friend or partner. If you’re visiting CDMX, do this tour at the beginning of your trip—it’s the perfect way to get oriented and inspired for the days ahead.
