Honesty, very modern and impressive however it was busy!! We tried to beat the rush but it’s just too popular right now. Think cafe style, museum-gallery, up-scale class that tells a story. We planned to spend two hours but stayed 5. Buy tickets online in advance. Enjoy!

The Grand Egyptian Museum is shaping up to be one of the most impressive cultural spaces anywhere, and visiting it feels like stepping into a new chapter of how Egypt tells its own story. The architecture alone is stunning—vast, modern, and filled with light—creating a sense of anticipation as you move through its enormous halls. Even in its current, partially open state, the displays are beautifully curated, giving you room to breathe, observe, and appreciate the craftsmanship of ancient Egypt without the usual rush. The highlight, of course, is the chance to see artifacts that have never been exhibited before, presented with a level of care and detail that really elevates the experience. It’s clear that the GEM is designed not just as a museum, but as a world-class cultural destination. Once fully open, it’s going to be an absolute must‑see for anyone coming to Egypt.

There are truly no words to describe the Egyptian Grand Museum. If you are interested in history—especially Egyptology—then this is absolutely the right place for you. I wouldn’t say that one day is enough to visit it properly; in my opinion, it takes at least three days to fully experience everything the museum has to offer. It is beautiful, breathtaking, and enormous, filled with an incredible number of artifacts. Even the restaurants and cafés inside the museum serve high-quality food. I particularly recommend Zooba, as it reflects authentic Egyptian cuisine. This is truly a must-visit destination if you are traveling to Egypt—you will be amazed by what you see. I have visited the museum 10 times so far, and I still haven’t seen everything. If you only have one day, I strongly recommend going with a professional tour guide or joining a guided tour. But overall, this is a place that you should genuinely experience for yourself—everything about it is simply amazing.

An unforgettable place to understand ancient Egypt properly. Tutankhamun’s golden mask and treasures are breathtaking over 3,000 years old, crafted in gold, and preserved because his tomb was hidden and never robbed, unlike most royal burials. Seeing the real mummy, coffins, shrines, and everyday gold objects makes the history feel alive. The statues are equally impressive, carved from limestone, red granite, and black granite, showing incredible skill and engineering. This museum isn’t just about artifacts it tells the full story of power, belief, death, and eternity. Absolutely worth the visit.

Spectacular! Very impressive collection of ancient artifacts; massive space that is very well used and smartly lit helping understand old and new ancient egyptian Kingdoms. King Tut collection is second to none. I saw the golden mask before in the old museum, but the rest of his shrines, busts, wardrobe, throne and valuables really impressed me in how well preserved they looked and how much they tell on ancient life in egypt, they almost left no detail to imagination. The preserved mummies of his kids are something else, I did not expect to get emotional when I saw them. Visual aids are smartly used through out the space. Restaurants and shops nearby were very nice and clean. Highly recommended, well organized and clean. I took a tour with aided audio it helped visualize the space but with no tour would give you a higher chance to wait and absorb what you are seeing.
