Step into history on the Bloody Point River Hike, a journey through the landscapes that shaped St. Kitts forever. Walk the very ground where, in 1626, European forces massacred thousands of Kalinago (Carib) people, causing the river to run red for days. Along the trail, discover ancient petroglyphs carved by the island’s first settlers, preserved for centuries as a window into their lives and culture. This guided hike blends storytelling, history, and archaeology, allowing you to experience the profound significance of the site while connecting with the past in a deeply meaningful way.

The adventure continues with a fun and scenic hike through lush rainforest, where every step offers energizing exercise, stunning views, and moments of lighthearted group connection. The journey culminates at the awe-inspiring Bat Cave, alive with the sounds and movement of nature, creating a dramatic and unforgettable finale. Balancing historical insight with natural beauty and engaging activity, this tour leaves participants with lasting memories, not just miles walked, combining education, adventure, and wonder in one immersive experience.

Bat cave was awesome! Thankful a family fixed the ladder and left supplies for further fixing! Continued hiking pass the batcave to the waterfall but was disappointed it was dry. Dry also made the creek bed much easier to hike, I am sure. For a dry creek the black rocks were very slippery! My fiance had to pull me up the rocks in two different spots.(I would have had to build a rock step to continue without him) The only water we saw was a trickle coming down the side of the ravine. Every flying creature around was getting a drink . Battastic hike!!

The ladder was shabby, so we went to Daniel’s hardware and bought supplies. We returned and fixed the ladder! There were so many bats when we got to the cave - crazy! 5 stars

Did this with a friend in the afternoon. No one else was around so it was quite nice. Would not attempt if it was wet. I would say it was a moderate hike, but would not recommend for a beginner hiker. Path is easy to find.

Excellent shaded hike. If you lose the trail upon entry, it is because the dried creek is the trail. Keep an eye out for overhangs made of dirt and rock, one came down 10 feet away from me with some massive rocks. Just try to stick to the middle of the canyon as much as you can and not disturb any of the roots on the canyon walls. Lots of ankle spraining hazards so also try to avoid the wet rocks.

Beautiful hike, go early to avoid the high heat of the day. Ladder is very unsteady & there is a step 2nd from the top missing so if you have your own ropes etc it is easier & safer. We went through the cave & kept going on the trail.
