Just returned from my first trip with Dion photographing the puffins on Farne island. My husband and I learned how to catch those clown birds in the air. Even tho we had some inclement weather, Dion was able to change our plans and find another place to photograph the puffins. Accommodations were wonderful and everything was close by. I would highly recommend Dion. He has you covered on gear. He let us use his tripods and one of the other participants used one of his cameras after getting frustrated with his own not being able to get the reach for clearer shots. Everyone went home happy
I visited waterfall country in Wales at the beginning of September with UK Photo Tours. The trip was well planned, with plenty of photographic opportunities on all 3 days. We had a very clean and comfortable house in Glynneath as our base. Dion, our host and guide was extremely helpful, came prepared with filters, lens options and even rope and helmets if needed. We had a nice walk on the second day of the trip, where we visited several waterfalls. Dion spent plenty of one-to-one time with each of us. Despite being a keen photographer for over 25 years, I did learn a few things! I had attended 3 one day trips to Stonehenge, the Shuttleworth air show and the Loxwood Joust with UK Photo Tours and had high expectations. I wasn't disappointed! It was a very pleasant experience and will I definitely join another multi-day trip with UK Photo tours in the future.
I had the pleasure to join Dion (UK Photo Tours) on 2 multi-day trips (Cornwall and Lake District) and it was an amazing experience. Dion is a very skilled photographer who has a passion to share his knowledge, he's well versed in just about any aspect of photography and can benefit even the most experienced photographer. What made the trips absolutely remarkable is Dion's extensive knowledge of the areas we visited and deep understanding of what spot works best in specific wether conditions. This allowed us to have a fluid agenda of places to visit to maximize our chances of getting the best photos even when weather conditions changes through the day. On top of all that, Dion is a real delightful person and a great company on trips. He always accomodates everyone's needs and makes the overall experience unforgetable.
Went on my first tour with Dion recently, The Wales Waterfall Tour. Excellent!! Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Dion was extremely helpful, gave excellent advice and I learnt a lot. The group size was ideal, in as much that Dion was able to spend plenty of good quality time with each of us. Dion had and excellent array of equipment we were able to borrow, especially the filters that I was very grateful to be able to use. Had the best day with Dion Hitchcock visiting Bodiam and Scotney Castles. He is delightful and so helpful too with an excellent array of lenses, filters and tripods you can borrow. He caters for everyone from the true beginner (me) to experienced photographers. Could not recommend him more.
