The highlight, of course, is the chance to see artifacts that have never been exhibited before, presented with a level of care and detail that really elevates the experience. It’s clear that the GEM is designed not just as a museum, but as a world-class cultural destination. Once fully open, it’s going to be an absolute must‑see for anyone coming to Egypt.
There are truly no words to describe the Egyptian Grand Museum. If you are interested in history—especially Egyptology—then this is absolutely the right place for you. I wouldn’t say that one day is enough to visit it properly; in my opinion, it takes at least three days to fully experience everything the museum has to offer. It is beautiful, breathtaking, and enormous, filled with an incredible number of artifacts. Even the restaurants and cafés inside the museum serve high-quality food. I particularly recommend Zooba, as it reflects authentic Egyptian cuisine. This is truly a must-visit destination if you are traveling to Egypt—you will be amazed by what you see. I have visited the museum 10 times so far, and I still haven’t seen everything. If you only have one day, I strongly recommend going with a professional tour guide or joining a guided tour. But overall, this is a place that you should genuinely experience for yourself—everything about it is simply amazing.
