Hard Kayak Rental - One Person

Hard-sided kayaks offer a sturdy and reliable option for exploring desert lakes and rivers, ideal for paddlers seeking stability and durability. Each single kayak measures 9.5 feet in length and can carry up to 275 lbs, making it suitable for most adults. For those seeking higher-volume kayaks, inflatable options are available separately. Full-day rentals run from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with equipment due back by the end of business hours. Early pickup is available for an additional fee, allowing paddlers to start their day earlier, which is particularly useful during hot summer months.

The rental package includes a kayak, kayak seat, two-piece paddle, PFD (life jacket), tie-down straps, and foam block roof rack for transportation. Renters are responsible for their equipment while in their possession, and delivery is not provided, so pickup and drop-off must be done at the store location in Tempe, Arizona. Kayaks can be transported on most 4-door vehicles with a roof rack or in a pickup truck, with a maximum of two kayaks on a roof and up to five in a full-size truck.
