We booked about 5 weeks in advance (and the tours were almost sold out at that time) for the Combo 3 hours Jet Ski & 3 hours 30 ATV for 2 @ $420. They communicated great in advance and arrived right on time to pick us up at the cruise port whereby we jumped in the back of a covered open-bed truck with built-in seating and drove about 15 minutes to their shop. There we ordered and paid for our lunch (sandwich, they provide menu and reasonable prices), signed our waivers, and we started our ATV tour. On both the ATV and jet ski tours, the guides took a number of pictures of us using their camera, which were then posted on Facebook (very nice feature but the pictures they share are VERY low quality/ resolution - 0.7MP and 1080 × 608...so may have limited value if planning to use for a book or something nice). Anyhow the ATV tour was a guide and then 3 other couples (all sharing an ATV) so a nice small size. This tour lasted about 2H30M from start to finish (a little less than advertised but perhaps they count the prep time before leaving) and we felt like this was a great amount of time and enjoyed it. You do drive around on paved roads a lot and then up to some great view points and to some nice places. The guide may tell you a sentence or two about what you are seeing but this wasn't really a talking tour and more about guiding you to nice views and enjoying the ride. Definitely safe and accessible to beginners. They don't provide bottled water or any beverages. We returned back to the shop and had about an hour for bathroom break (one single outdoor unit in back) and eating our pre-ordered lunch. The jet ski was a larger group of a guide and 4 or 5 other couples (again all sharing a jet ski). This tour was very fast paced as we put on our life jackets, got a sentence or two of basic instruction and everyone zoomed away. The guide on this tour similarly didn't tell you much about anything (again, more about going fast and seeing more places) and was helpful if you asked but also a little brief and short. He did not do much double checking of people's understanding of the equipment nor did he often check to see if anyone was behind him (he was in the lead) or was having trouble. Even though it goes very fast without much instruction, the jet skis are easy to operate (we had never used) so I do think this tour is doable for beginners as long as you are not fearful of going fast and have driven other recreational toys of some kind. You see a LOT on this tour and it is incredibly beautiful and the jet skis are very nice (with nice storage places for your phone and bags and whatever you need....TBH, we drove so fast without stopping much, we rarely had time to use phone without a waterproof case). You do get time (with lots of other tourists) at a place where all the guides are feeding marine life so you can see and be right next to small whitetip sharks and rays and some other fish - very cool and enjoyable and a nice break from driving. This tour lasted almost 4H (so a little over the time) and had some beautiful early sunset views on our ride back. We really enjoyed getting to see the island from both the land and sea and didn't find doing both in one day to be too tiring. However, if you only have time for one, definitely the jet ski is the top choice and an amazing experience. Office staff were very friendly and drove us back to our ship. Overall we had a great time and would definitely recommend - we had an amazing day at a reasonable price (for the island).
Incredible tour from start to finish! Staff are friendly and professional, and the equipment are safe and perform great too! Tini was an amazing guide, and so was the rest of our group! Together we got to zip thru the turquoise waters and see the best views the island has to offer! Swam with sting rays, sharks and turtles, and the photos were included too! This is a must do when visiting Moorea!! Our best jet ski tour we’ve ever done, hands down! 10/10!!!
Let me start this review with, this company is a great tour company. This is the second time I've used them and they were great both times. First excursion was in 2017 on jet skis and this time snorkeling with whales. We came on the Oceania cruise line and was near impossible to get off our of ship, that part was the worst. I immediately emailed Top Jet & Top quad to let them know the situation. They were very responsive and understanding. We went back and forth a few times so we could make the excursion. They were about to leave but we were finally able to get to the dock and they had waited for us. I would give them 100/100 stars for just that. What an incredible adventure/tour. I selected the whale snorkeling excursion because Moorea is one of the places you can swim with whales and it totally delivered. We felt completely safe with the company and with our guides. Our tour guide was thorough with the instructions he provided before we dropped in. We didn't get into the water right away because sharks were in the area. Obviously our safety was their top priority. Once we were able to get into the water we immediately heard the whale singing and could see it near the floor of the ocean. We stayed long enough that we didn't feel rushed. Things to consider if you're going to book this cruise..1) plan accordingly and in advance. Now that only 6 people can be in the water at a time, the bookings fill up. So if you really want to do this excursion, don't wait until the last minute. 2) you're going to need to swim out and away from the tour boat, it wasn't difficult for me but it is a consideration 3) you will need to wear a life jacket if you don't have a 3mm wetsuit. I bought a wetsuit as I personally do not like to snorkel with a life jacket..check with the tour company for the latest information about this so you're prepared 4) don't wear/bring a full face snorkel mask. Bring a traditional mask as most tour companies don't permit them for safety reasons. 5) you don't have to get into the water to see the whale's.. you can see them breach from the boat like we did.. Our second stop was to swim with turtles and we certainly did. Overall wonderful excursion with an awesome company. They have first class customer service. I would definitely recommend and do this again .
