An absolutely amazing day! I highly recommend doing the camel ride at Cairo - it was one of the highlights of our trip (available at an additional cost of $20 each on the day but well worth it). Mohammed was fantastic, very knowledgeable and friendly and an excellent guide. He gave lots of historical tips, as well as tips on how to navigate some of the more common scams around the Pyramids. A long journey overall (8 hours for us from Makadi Bay) but well worth it if you're staying in Egypt for a longer trip or if you're a budding Egyptologist.
