Walking into Opera In The Kitchen feels like stepping back in time. The home, built in the early 1600s, carries a rich history that you can sense the moment you enter. It’s like cooking with Nonna herself, warm, authentic, and filled with tradition. Lucrezia and her team are not only talented chefs, but also incredibly welcoming hosts. The entire experience was one of a kind: we laughed, drank wonderful wine, cooked delicious food, and capped it all off with an opera singer whose performance was the icing on the cake. I also had the chance to stay in the House of the Rooster which is an ancient Tuscan Villa and was every bit as magical as the cooking experience. It felt like an extension of the storybook atmosphere. If you’re visiting, I highly recommend scheduling Opera In The Kitchen and staying in the Villa. It’s an unforgettable experience I’ll treasure, and one I plan to repeat for years to come.

It was an incredible cooking class experience in Chianti, set inside a beautifully preserved 16th-century house overlooking the rolling vineyards. This is true authentic Tuscan experience. The hosts were welcoming and passionate. We prepared fresh pasta, sauces with local ingredients. Picked the ingredients in garden. Everything was hands-on, yet relaxed. We enjoyed our meal together with excellent Chianti wine and Opera. It was more than just a class—it was a cultural immersion, blending history, food, and the joy of sharing a table. I can’t recommend this experience enough. If you’re in Tuscany and want something truly memorable, this is it!

Lucrezia is the best host ever. We never had a dull moment and her cooking classes were just incredibly creative with lots of magic to take home with us. Even our children took part which made the experience even more beautiful. And what great place to stay with comfortable spacious bedrooms and stunning views. We will definitely come back next year!

The dinner and cooking experience was a wonderful way to spend an evening near Florence. The recipes were delicious and especially making pasta was so much fun! Transport from Florence and back was a very good option since I was travelling alone and did not have a rental car. The opera singer in the end was such a talented performer. I have made the dishes again back at home and they turned out to be as delicious as cooked while the experience. Thank you!
