Husband and I booked 2 nights at your resort on the 14 and 15 of January 2026. It was our 2 yr wedding anniversary. The first night, the bed was so uncomfortable we tossed and turned all night.. my husband is a veteran and can sleep anywhere literally. In the morning we went to the front desk at the hotel and asked for a more comfortable bed as we have stayed here before and never had this issue before. Both employees immediately interrupted us and stated all rooms have the same bed and there’s nothing they can do. We then went up to our room and again trying reaching out to guest services.. he said he would talk his supervisor and see what he could do and would call us back. Well no one ever called us back so we packed our bags and left. Instead we decided that the rude staff was not going to ruin our anniversary. We went to Potawatomi Carter Casino, and Hotel. Staff was more than happy to help us and gave us a wonderful king size bedroom with a balcony and the bed was so comfortable.. and then to make things better… We won a major jackpot and kept winning 😊 so thank you island for being so disrespectful to us… we took our business elsewhere and had a great time!

Hadn't been here in so many years! Brought back memories...I recall when I was here years ago we had a complimentary breakfast 😋 well today that wasn't an option it was fine though the breakfast was edible but I WILL SAY THE SERVER WAS NOT TOO ON POINT WE HAD TO ASK FOR A STRAW FOR OUR DRINKS AND SHE DIDN'T PLACE THE STRAWS IN MY HAND SHE LAID THEM ON THE TABLE. WE HAD WATER AND JUICE ONE STRAW!! I TIPPED HER$5 👀 SHE DIDN'T EARN IT WITH THE SERVICE WE GOT! I'LL RETURN TO THE RESTAURANT BUT I REFUSE TO ALLOW HER TO SERVE ME. I'LL SAY IT WAS WORTH THE TRIP ALL THE WAY TO HARRIS MICHIGAN!

Brittany at the check in desk was wonderful! I was having a hard time purchasing tickets online for the waretpark and she was so helpful and patient. She was very accomidating and made my day! The girls at the island club were also very helpful when I wasn't able to find my tickets on my phone.

Most important thing I can tell you about the island resort and casino, is that if you are planning to rent a room and spend the night there, I know for a fact you are getting one of the cleanest hotel rooms you have, or will ever experience. The rooms are very beautiful and very modern and up-to-date, with a stylish minimal sleek, elegant look to it. The rooms are absolutely spotless and clean in every aspect. This is a big thing I personally find important when staying at hotels, the effort put into the cleanliness is actually detrimental to how comfortable your stay will be at a hotel. The service, was excellent in the staff at the casino all are helpful, and professional! I can't say enough good things about the island resort and casino! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I hate to give a not so good review. But it was our 1st time staying in the hotel, we were in the Sun tower. It was very run down. Refrigerator didnt work. We told them. They said they would have mantainance come and take a look at it. We'll, it was running when we came up, but not cooling. The TV controller was caked with grime, that is a big no no with me. We did tell them about that and bathroom vent also. Beds not great. Toilet ran really weird, you flush it would fill stop, fill stop, until it filled. Vent in bathroom caked with grime. Casino was nice but not very clean. We had to watch where to put our hands on machines, spilt drinks or just glass rings. We've been to a lot of casinos and they are always cleaning machines. Food was good at the Reef, breakfast was good at the Firekeepers restaurant. But as dirty as everything else was Im scared to thing what the kitchens looked like. Im not saying this stuff to keep people from going there. I just want them to do a better job. Staff was nice though, which is a plus. We've stayed before but at Rv park. If we come back it will be in the Rv park unless we can get in new section.
