Shared Mandarin • Oxford Walking Tour & New College

This walking tour is led by Oxford University alumni or current students who blend their personal experiences with a deep passion for the city’s history and architecture. Over ninety minutes, your guide brings Oxford to life through engaging stories, local insight, and academic traditions. You will walk through historic streets and squares while learning how Oxford shaped literature, education, and imagination across centuries.

The tour highlights places linked to famous writers and landmark stories, from the lamp post that inspired Narnia to buildings that influenced His Dark Materials. You will stroll through the meadows where Lewis Carroll first shared Alice in Wonderland and admire some of the world’s finest Gothic and Baroque architecture. Oxford is a city layered with stories, traditions, and creativity, where every corner reveals another chapter of its remarkable past. This shared walking tour takes place outdoors and is delivered entirely in Mandarin. Indoor access to buildings is not included unless booked as an additional option in advance.
