Each adventure begins at a beautifully restored plantation house originally built in the 1700s, now home to a meaningful museum experience. Here, you’ll learn the powerful story of Trace Wilson, who was born into slavery on the property in 1818, and her direct descendant Emilio Wilson. Through engaging exhibits and displays, the museum offers insight into what daily life was like on a historic plantation, sharing the customs, traditions, and lifestyles that shaped the island’s culture. This enriching visit helps explain why Sint Maarten is known today as “The Friendly Island,” blending history, resilience, and community spirit.
After a short orientation, your journey continues aboard the Sky Explorer for a scenic ride of approximately 25 minutes to the top of Sentry Hill, the highest point on St. Maarten at 1,125 feet. At the summit, a series of platforms surrounds the mountaintop, providing spectacular 360-degree views across the island and out to neighboring islands such as Saba, St. Eustatius, St. Barts, and Anguilla. When you’re ready, enjoy a relaxing ride back down the mountain, then take time to explore the estate grounds, unwind, and savor snacks or drinks at the on-site restaurant, soaking in the special atmosphere of St. Maarten.

Amazing!! Loved the experience and a great way to see the stunning views. Wasn't scary at all so don't worry if you're nervous of heights like me. Was reassuring watching the date devils do the zip line while we slowly made our way up and down the mountain. Staff helpful. Bar at top was lovely, cold and refreshing on a hot day

Fantastisch uitzicht.

When we where on the top was incredibile Beautiful. We went with the soualiga chair and if you will you could come back with the zipline. Cost what extra. But the view was so nice that we get back with the soualiga. Next time we will take the zipline. On the top you could a take a drink and walk arround. After that take you can go to the museum, you can eat something. The food was very nice.

There really wasn’t a “tour”. No o e was telling us a thing…too busy on their phones. Not very helpful…the seats are ripped and very dirty on the sky ride. The view is fabulous at the top…guess that’s what you’re paying for.
