Beautiful and peaceful. Notre-Dame is simply breathtaking. Standing before it, you can feel centuries of history, faith, and resilience. The architecture is stunning, and inside, the light from the stained-glass windows creates a quiet, emotional beauty that stays with you long after you leave. It is not just a cathedral—it is the heart and soul of Paris.

Notre-Dame de Paris – renewed, brighter, and still iconic Notre-Dame Cathedral remains one of the most iconic landmarks in the world. After the restoration, the cathedral feels noticeably brighter and cleaner, with light now playing a much more prominent role throughout the interior. The renovation has undeniably enhanced the sense of space and visibility, making architectural details, stained glass, and decorations easier to appreciate. At the same time, it’s fair to say that the cathedral has lost a small part of its darker, more mysterious Gothic atmosphere, which many associated with its historic character. That said, the result is still breathtaking. The balance between preservation and renewal has been handled with great care, and Notre-Dame continues to inspire awe, both spiritually and architecturally. A must-visit in Paris — even for those who knew it well before the restoration.

We visited both the cathedral itself and paid to climb the bell towers separately. Would highly recommend both, as well as reservation for the cathedral to skip the queue to enter. Interior of the cathedral was stunning. Amazing to see and experience how the cathedral was like centuries ago with the recent post-fire restoration and cleaning. View of the bell towers was great, was cool to look into "the forest" and the spire up close! Also cool to see how the clocks stopped as a result of the fire. Hopefully the clock will be repaired and restored in due time.

I hadn’t visited before the restoration, so to me the renovation makes the cathedral feel almost brand new. It does lose a bit of its aged, historical atmosphere, but the interior is still very impressive. The ceiling is incredibly high and gives a powerful, uplifting feeling. I felt genuinely honored that it was open again and that I could finally step inside. Booking online is definitely recommended. That said, during the low season (winter), the wait without a reservation isn’t too bad. In summer, I’d strongly suggest reserving in advance. The visit itself takes about 30 minutes. There is a lot to see, but I personally just walked through once and stepped back out. Interestingly, I found the exterior more beautiful than the interior. The outside of the building is absolutely worth sitting down and taking time to admire — every detail feels carefully and thoughtfully crafted. I’m truly happy to see this cathedral reborn. As a world landmark, I really hope it will be well protected for generations to come.

What an incredible, breathtaking experience. The architecture is stunning, the walk through is full of history and beauty, and overall, it felt more than worthwhile what was admittedly a hectic line. We struggled to get a reservation, so we waited in a long queue, which took roughly an hour early one rainy morning. You can likely expect a large crowd, which we did experience. But it was still spacious enough to allow for a slow walk through, even if trying to navigate got tricky. I really recommend to linger, take your time, and take a lot of photos regardless. Find quiet spots to enjoy, look at all the beautiful art pieces, and maybe light a candle or two like we did. It was busy, as expected, but magical.
