Beautiful and eccentric estate built over the years by different owners who added their own touch to it. A look into how the super wealthy lived in those days. We went there the first thing in the morning during the off season and there were still plenty of people. Probably the best experience in Sintra, walking around admiring the architecture and the flora. It's at a 10 minutes walk from the Sintra centre, so quite accessible.

A large park with many different attractions, including a well and caves. The castle is more interesting from the outside than inside. There are many towers you can climb to see the surroundings from above. There is also a café next to the castle.

Very nice estate. Beautiful grounds - be sure to explore as there are a lot of cool little areas. Mansion is beautiful and informative though a pretty quick visit. Once you go through the mansion you essentially filter out so be surr to explore all the estate first. Very pretty estate - must visit in Sintra!

I enjoyed both this attraction and the Palace, but this place is full of so much wonder and magic that I would prioritize over the Palace. You can wander the gardens for hours and just keep finding little secrets along the winding paths. If you are patient and open to just seeing what you can find, you will truly love exploring here!

I would say this is a must see in Sintra. It's enough to see the Pena Palace from afar, but this place you definitely have to go in. Beautiful estate and amazing architecture. The carvings on the wall of the main palace and all the towers are very interesting. But sure to walk around and explore different paths.
