Begin your day early at Zogu I Zi, where your guide will connect with you in advance via WhatsApp or phone. Pickup services are available if needed. From there, you'll depart Tirana in a comfortable minibus, watching the landscape transform as the morning sun bathes the Albanian countryside in golden light. Your first major stop is the breathtaking Komani Lake, often referred to as the “Albanian Fjords.” A scenic boat ride will take you through towering cliffs and narrow gorges, surrounded by emerald-green waters and untouched natural beauty. This peaceful yet dramatic journey through the heart of northern Albania is the kind that stays with you long after it's over.
From Komani Lake, continue your adventure to the idyllic Shala River. Nestled in the Albanian Alps, this crystal-clear river offers a chance to swim, relax on the riverbanks, or enjoy optional adventures like kayaking and zip-lining. Midday, you’ll indulge in a riverside lunch made with fresh, local ingredients—simple yet delicious dishes that reflect Albania’s culinary traditions. As the day winds down, you'll retrace your boat ride through Komani Lake, now bathed in the golden hues of late afternoon. Once back on land, settle in for a relaxing drive to Tirana, arriving in the early evening at Skanderbeg Square with your heart full of unforgettable memories from Albania’s stunning northern landscapes.

Kristina

Eduard and I communicated directly, and everything was clear and straightforward. We got on the bus on time, and the tour itself was stunning. Only on the way back the weather wasn’t on our side – there was thunder, lightning, and heavy rain. In such cases, it’s worth bringing a raincoat, otherwise you’ll get soaked and cold.

Our trip on the river was a lot of fun! Our guide Kristian was fantastic. From the minute I called to make the reservation communication was clear and very easy to coordinate. Definitely recommend!

We went on this boat trip today (early June) with a 1 year old. We were a bit worried about the heat (33 degrees that day) but the sun shade on the boat and the cool air from the water plus an occasional splash made it actually very pleasant (a parasol came in handy to protect the baby from the wind and the water) and we had a great time on the trip. The owner was very responsive and helpful. Other reviews mentioned a nicely guided tour with a lot of information on the way. Our "captain" didn't provide such service so maybe it's something that should be looked into but still, I would happily recommend this company. Knowing how everything looks, I probably wouldn't go on this trip during high season as it must be full of tourists but beginning of June is great.
