I've just come back from another amazing trip with Bernard in Donegal. I've been on a number of trips with him now and I have to say his energy and enthusiasm for photography is infectious. He's very professional in his approach with people and wants to ensure your time with him is well spent. He will go to any lengths to ensure you are in the right location to capture the best shots. He is a master in reading the weather patterns and uses this knowledge with great accuracy. The fun and craic while on these tours is legendary. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this guy.

Bernard is an excellent tour guide! Been on 3 guided tours and have enjoyed them all immensely. No better man for finding unique compositions and knowing what locations to shoot for the given weather conditions. You are given one to one tutoring, and there is no shortage of a bit of craic.

Just back from a fabulous 2 days on Tory Island with Bernard. What a gem of a place to visit snd photograph. Full of untouched annd unspoiled seascapes, that are challenging, exciting and enticing, fabulous variety of places to choose for sunrise and sunsets. And we got some images that worked midday as well. I learnt a lot from Bernard on this trip, particularly long exposure shots using Bulb and composition with the sea stacks. I really appreciated his time and patience. Probably fair to say I was much more comfortable photographing from the tops of cliffs also! Apart from the photography, it as such good craic. We had a lovely crowd of light minded photographers on this trip that laughed all weekend. I loved it from start to finish. This island is a special one

Recently back from a wonderful trip under the expert guidance of Bernard. We explored Icelands south coast and were looked after brilliantly throughout the 5 day trip. Bernard always does his very best to make sure the group gels and also will leave no stone unturned to try and get everyone to get their dream shots. We experienced incredible Northern Lights on 3 out of 4 nights. The trip was also a lot more than just photography, and many a laugh and a couple of beers were shared along the way too.

Had the most amazing experience on the Lofoten workshop with Bernard. This was my second trip with him as did the Connemara workshop in May 2022, so I knew I would learn loads and laugh lots. Bernard is passionate about his photography and ensures that everyone in the group experiences and benefits from it. He is patient, kind, courteous and generous to a fault with his time, imparting his skills and sharing his equipment ( I will definitely have my own filters next time !). Challenging weather conditions were never an issue as Bernard hunted around for the best shots. We were out in all weathers for 6 full days and even got a few shots in on the way to the airport. Bernard also made sure we gelled as a group, offering time for thawing out with coffee, cakes and waffles! I know I will be better at photography after all I learned on this trip. I highly recommend Bernard if you want to have a great holiday, learn some new skills and laugh lots. I had booked my 2024 Senja trip before this one, and might have to treat myself to a local workshop while I count down the months.
