Most historians agree that the village of Lin, nestled on the shores of Lake Ohrid, is one of the oldest continuously inhabited areas in Europe, dating back approximately 6,000 years. Some even believe the origins of European civilization itself may lie beneath the mysterious waters of Lake Ohrid. While the debate continues, there’s no denying that this enchanting corner of southeastern Albania offers a profound connection to the past. This all-inclusive, three-day journey invites you to dive deep into the region’s rich heritage, explore ancient landmarks, and experience the natural beauty of a place where time seems to stand still.
But this tour isn’t just about exploring ruins or admiring landscapes—it’s a full sensory experience. Alongside historical insights and breathtaking scenery, you’ll enjoy authentic Albanian cuisine, connect with local traditions, and find joy in cultural moments both big and small. Whether wandering cobbled village paths, relaxing by the lakeside, or sharing laughter over a homemade meal, each day of the trip is designed to offer lasting memories and a genuine sense of Albania’s vibrant spirit.

Drilon Park, often called the National Park of Drilon, is a serene and picturesque oasis located near Pogradec on the shores of Lake Ohrid. It's an ideal escape for pure relaxation and nature lovers. What Makes It Special: Crystal-Clear Springs: The park is famous for its natural, spring-fed lakes and streams, which are exceptionally clear and contribute to the Lake Ohrid watershed. Tranquil Scenery: Majestic willow trees create a peaceful, shady canopy over charming walking paths and small canals, offering picturesque spots for picnics and leisurely strolls. Wildlife: The waters are graced by numerous birds, including swans and ducks, making it a great spot for birdwatching. Activities: Visitors can rent small boats for a peaceful ride on the lakes and enjoy dining at local restaurants that often serve the unique Ohrid trout. Historical Note: The park holds historical significance as it was once a favorite retreat for former Albanian leader Enver Hoxha.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It’s such an amazing place to visit! There are plenty of ducks around, which makes it really enjoyable and relaxing to watch. You can also take a boat ride by yourself after paying a small fee, which is a great experience. I highly recommend visiting this area, it’s peaceful, fun, and worth the trip!
Ohad

A cute shaded park next to spring waters, where many ducks swim around and quack. Some turtles also enjoy the grass. You might see there the famous Ohrid swan family. Multiple restaurants inside, and even one orange arch for Calisthenics lovers!
Leonidas

Best park to visit in the area and not only. Family and kids friendly. Highly recommended

Drilon has so special environment with free animals and clean water. In the beginning of summer seisson the weather was so good. Heat is not bothering because of trees. There are also some restaurants you can find local kitchen. Unfortunately park is not big enough for tracking, all area around 1.5 km.
