What a fabulous week! I took the opportunity to travel alone and never regretted it for a moment. The classes were inclusive, so informative, fun and even though I have cooked most of my life, I have learnt so much about Tuscan cooking. Paola is so much fun to cook with! The lush surroundings and facilities make the your time here so special, it feels like family. Thank you to the entire team for creating such special memories! I will be back!
I really can't adequately describe how wonderful Casa Ombuto is, or how great of a time my wife and I had there. So I'm going to add some pictures. That said, our chef, Paola, was the best, most wonderful instructor we could have possibly had to teach me (not good at cooking) how to make delicious, healthy meals. The owner, Lars, I can't thank enough or express how wonderful he made our stay. I've never in my life met an owner so committed to his guests, employees and facilities. He is a terrific person, and I'm truly blessed to have met him. The staff were ALL wonderful, and Alex was one of the best coordinators I've ever met in my life. The trips were great, the food was great, the people we had taken the class with were great, and, most importantly, I will treasure the memories I have from that time there with my wife. Enough said...I can't wait to go back!!!
Casa Ombuto exceeded all my expectations! This was a trip that had been 20 years in the making with my mom, and it did not disappoint! Tucked in the Tuscan hills, the villa feels both elegant and authentic. The staff’s warmth made us feel like the villa was more like a home than merely our accommodation. I loved the excursions to local artisans, who were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their craft. What really made this whole experience special, however, were our cooking classes with chef Paola. She is simply fantastic! Both extremely skilled and passionate, she infuses her lessons with personal stories, candor, and a lot of humor! The moments we shared in the kitchen with our fellow guests created more meaningful connections with one another — making our evening dinners together feel fun, relaxed and full of laughter. I definitely plan to come back in the future! Thanks for the wonderful experience ☺️
