Outstanding guide & driver — best tour of our trip We had an absolutely fantastic day with Quiggys (guide) and Tomas (driver) on our Northern Ireland tour. Without exaggeration, Quiggys was the best tour guide we have encountered on our travels. Quiggys struck the perfect balance between being deeply knowledgeable and genuinely entertaining. He gave us a thoughtful, well-structured overview of Irish and Northern Irish history—covering the long years of conflict and the remarkable peace achieved after decades of violence—with clarity, empathy, and perspective. What really set him apart was how he brought the story to life: carefully chosen music that matched historical moments, old photos, and personal insights that made the landscape and history feel connected rather than abstract. The pacing of the day was excellent. We never felt rushed at the major sights—Dunluce Castle, Giant’s Causeway, the Dark Hedges, and Belfast—yet we also covered a lot without fatigue. The commentary on the bus was engaging throughout, and even long drives felt meaningful rather than like dead time. Tomas was a calm, skilled, and professional driver, handling long distances and narrow roads smoothly and safely. The ride was comfortable the entire day, which matters a lot on a tour of this length. Together, they made the experience feel warm, personal, and memorable, not scripted or generic. We learned a great deal, laughed often, and came away with a much deeper understanding of the region. Highly recommended — if you’re lucky enough to get Quiggys and Tomas, you’re in excellent hands.

Our tour guide Quiggs and driver Brian did exellent job! Brian was very friendly and did his part exellent. Quiggs was very informative during whole tour. We got many really interestings facts about our tours places, but Quiggs also told us wide selection of Ireland history. When someone from our group wanted to know something or was having some kind of problem Quiggs helped them immediately. He told food and drink tips, where to visit and how organize all things that you got best possible experience from the tour. He was really energetic from early morning to the end of the tour - and same time he hosted our group really good. Tour itself was really good. You get enought time to see most decent places and we didn’t have to rush whole day. I highly recommend this Finn McCool tour - specially if you are lucky enought to get Quiggs and Brian with you! Quiggs is easily one of the best tour guides that I have ever have had - and I’m frequently using different kind of tours. Thanks Quiggs and Brian!

I have been around the world and Carol was one of the best tour guides I've ever had. Our first stop was Glendalough, where Carol gave us a quick rundown of the history before letting us roam to go see what we each individually wanted to see for 2 hours. 2 hours proved to be the perfect amount of time here. We hiked to upper lake, explored the monastic site, and got lunch at the food truck before returning to the bus with 10 minutes to left before departure. Then we drove through the scenic Wicklow Mountains National Park and made a quick 20-minute stop at the Wicklow Gap. A high-elevation mountain pass with panoramic views. Next was the sheepdog demonstration at "working sheep dogs" in Ballybought. The demonstrator, Mike, showed up right on time and promptly taught us about the history of Irish sheep farming and the use of sheepdogs before doing a thorough herding demonstration with his border collies, Maggie and JoJo. After that, we continued to the last stop of the day: Kilkenny. Similarly to Glendalough, Carol gave us a quick and informative lesson on Kilkenny's history before letting us off the bus right in the heart of the medieval town. I had time to do a self guided tour of Kilkenny Castle, walk some of the ancient city streets, check out shops, see the River Nore, and visit the Cathedral. As stated earlier, Carol was a fantastic tour guide. She was friendly, knowledgeable, had a sense of humor, and would frequently check in on us throughout the drive or as she saw us at each stop. She also made it very easy to remember which bus to get on by leaving a pink hat on the dashboard.
