Beautiful natural park with great hiking opportunities and impressive landscapes. During my visit I was lucky to spot a grey-headed kingfisher, owls, vervet monkeys and guinea fowl, which made the experience even more special. A very good place for nature and wildlife lovers, especially if you enjoy birdwatching and quieter, less touristy spots. Highly recommended if you want to see a different side of Santiago. The trails are well signposted.
Highly recommended for hiking. Stunning views all around! Beware that some trails might not be registered in widely used hiking apps (komot, wikiloc, maps.me, …). So it’s a good idea to speak with locals before embarking on a big hike or have a guide if your budget allows!
A beautiful park with amazing views. There are a lot of hikes in the park and it’s surroundings. It is quite a bit cooler and windier that Praia or even Assomada, bring a jacket and a lot of water.
