Great Beach ! Beautiful water . Hotel staff are lovely and helpful . Hotel is tired and needs a facelift and maintenance. But is clean and if there is something wrong they are “ quick “ to address it Food is ok . Breakfast is best along with the Pool BBQ However the waiting in line for 35 mins might put you off . There is an Italian restaurant for À la Carte . However you have to book the morning before at 07:30 at the tour desk and the line starts at 06:45 And they run out of places Drinks are plentiful and. Large All in all 5 star beach 2 star Hotel But would come back . So not that bad
Beach was lovely, the water was nice and cold. However, there was a horrible smell of weed and whilst serving, there were people taking drugs. Also the water wasn’t very clear. You have to look for a long long time to find loungers so beware.
Jolly Beach, Antigua Access and transportation Jolly Beach is easily reached by taxi from the cruise port. The price is USD 10 per person for a shared ride. The taxi drops you off at a parking area, from where you walk about 150 meters to the beach. Wi-Fi / Internet access Everyone — from the taxi driver to the staff who greet visitors and provide sun loungers — says that free Wi-Fi is available. In practice, access is only given after ordering something from the bar (for example, a beer costs USD 4). Even then, the connection is very weak, unstable, and highly limited, and should not be relied upon. Nature and beach The beach itself is stunning, with beautiful white sand and a long, gently curved shoreline. The sea is calm, and the water is shallow, making it comfortable for swimming. On the left side, there is a large resort with private access, offering a day pass for USD 75, which includes food and drinks. In the central area, sun loungers and umbrellas are available for rent at USD 30 for two loungers and one umbrella. The equipment is quite old and worn. There is an informal bar offering drinks, food, and souvenirs. The overall setup feels like a small family-run operation. On the right side of the beach, there is a separate proper bar, attracting additional visitors. Atmosphere The main drawback of Jolly Beach is that it is overcrowded. Despite the natural beauty, the noise, constant foot traffic, and commercial activity make it unsuitable for a truly relaxing beach experience. --- ⭐ Overall Rating Nature: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) Facilities and organization: ⭐⭐☆☆☆ (2/5) Final thoughts: Jolly Beach offers impressive natural scenery, but overcrowding, worn facilities, and conditional, unreliable internet access significantly diminish the overall experience.
