Embark on a culturally enriching cycling journey through the heart of Saigon’s Chinatown, where ancient Chinese traditions come alive through architecture and local stories. Guided by the symbolic Chinese proverb, “The dragon has nine sons, none of which are alike,” this tour offers a unique lens into how diversity is honored in Chinese culture. According to legend, the nine sons of the dragon each possessed distinct characteristics—some charming, some fierce, and others peculiar—shaping their roles in art, sculpture, and feng shui. From temple rooftops to ornate gateways, you’ll learn to identify these mythical figures and understand the meaning behind their specific placements in homes and places of worship.
But this trip is about more than just spotting dragons—it’s a deep dive into the vibrant Chinese community that has long been part of Saigon’s fabric. Pedal through narrow alleyways and bustling markets, and visit sacred temples where history and spirituality converge. Along the way, you’ll engage with locals, hear centuries-old legends, and gain insight into how the values of heritage, family, and identity have been preserved across generations. It’s an immersive experience that blends myth, history, and daily life, offering you a deeper appreciation of the cultural mosaic that makes Saigon’s Chinatown so fascinating.

I rented an XR150 off Dragon bikes for 6 days. I found Patrick to be an extremely nice person, and excellent to deal with. His knowledge and route suggestions were awesome. I would highly recommend dealing with Dragon bikes (Patrick). Thank you. Brad

I had a great experience with Dragon Bikes! The prices are exceptional and well worth it for the adventurers seeking to rent longer term which i recommend. I rented the Honda xr150L, traveling to Mui Ne and Vung Tau from Saigon. The bike is well kept, safe, and enjoyable. Patrick even told me the best routes to travel to see natural vietnam with monkeys and crocodiles. Also, he advised me routes I shouldn't take due to strict law enforcement. Will rent again in the future when I come back.

Hired the Honda xr150 for 3 weeks for a road trip from Saigon to Hanoi. Patrick was super helpful in getting the bike ready and helped with enough support (spares, suggested routes and pleasant conversation). He was also super cooperative with the refund of the deposit once I returned the bike at Hanoi. Would highly recommend and will definitely come back to Patrick once I'm back in Vietnam.

Myself and two friends hired three 125cc Honda Blade scooters from Patrick, the owner, and drove through southern Vietnam for 12 days, covering @1,500km from the coast to the mountains and back again. The bikes were great, handled well, and had no mechanical problems at all. Support was just a phone call away, should we have needed it. Apparently they have an office in Hanoi too, so one way rentals are easy, with the next customer riding it back down to HCMC. Thanks Patrick, I’ll be using you again next time I’m here.

If you plan to ride anywhere in Vietnam leaving Ho Chi Minh, then you can't go past the service that Patrick and his team provides. The bike I hired and rode for nearly 2000km was well serviced and I had I had no problems with it. I've hired a lot of bikes in SE Asia and this is a first. The financial side of things was easy and smooth. I sent the bike back by train from Danang and this process was easy and an accepted process by Dragon Bikes. The bike had a phone mount and back rack that made carrying gear safe and easy. Highly recommend this business to support your biking adventure.
