After a hearty breakfast, embark on a scenic 2.5-hour drive towards the enchanting Istrian peninsula, a region renowned for its stunning natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and sprawling vineyards and olive groves. Your first stop will be the historic city of Pula, home to the magnificent Roman amphitheater known as the Pula Arena, which dates back to the 1st century AD. Here, you will step back in time as you explore this remarkably well-preserved ancient structure and learn about its significance in Roman times.

Next, continue your journey through Pula as you visit other notable landmarks such as the Cathedral of the Assumption, the Temple of Augustus, and the ancient city gates, each offering a glimpse into the city’s diverse architectural and historical tapestry. After soaking in Pula’s cultural treasures, you will proceed to the charming medieval town of Rovinj. Known for its Baroque and Renaissance influences, Rovinj invites you to stroll along its narrow, cobbled streets, ascending polished stone steps that lead to the majestic Church of St. Euphemia, the city’s patron saint.

Following the tour of Rovinj’s old town, you will have some free time to enjoy a leisurely lunch at one of the local restaurants, where you can savor authentic Istrian cuisine at your own expense. After lunch and some additional time to explore or relax, your day will conclude with a comfortable transfer back to Zagreb, where you will be dropped off at your hotel, carrying memories of a day filled with history, culture, and breathtaking scenery.

The trip to Brijuni Island left a special mark on me and my boyfriend. We didn’t expect it to be that beautiful. Even though we spent the whole day there, we could have easily stayed longer. Everything is super accessible by bike — the stunning ancient ruins, botanical garden, mini zoo, dinosaur steps and safari. At one point, while we were sitting on the grass, a group of deer suddenly ran by! It truly felt like we were in heaven for a day — definitely worth a visit!

Very nice island! We've been there for a couple of houra and toured the island by bike. There was literally nobody around so we had all the attractions for us. Very recommended!

Nice place. We bought a 4 hour tour by NP with a guide, boat and train, but if you really want to feel this island, it requires day or two at least. Zoo doesn't have a lot of animal, but walking or swimming are always necessary. Yugoslavian spirit is omnipresent. Hotel (Neptun if memory serves me) is not expensive comparing with coastal hotels. Playing golf is guaranteed fun. Sedačni pozdravi za Ivana, vodiča. Svako dobro

Brijuni was fun. We decided to walk the island as bike rentals were a little pricey but it was a pretty brutal walk on a hot day (88°F/31°C). If you want to see everything and have younger kids or trouble walking distances rent a golf cart or bikes. We got fairly sunburnt too as a lot of the time there was no shade. But, the safari park was neat, and the Byzantine castrum and St Mary's basilica were really cool. We walked around the upper and main parts of the island and skipped the southern peninsula and it took about 5-6 hours.

Fabulous. In my opinion the real gem of Croatian tourism. We were there last week having visited quite some years ago. It was as beautiful as ever. A ton of things to see and do. The island is large enough that you can find your own space, it never feels too crowded. We hired an electric buggy, 300 euros for the whole day, fits 4 adults. Get the 9 am ferry across, bring a picnic, rent a buggy and enjoy visiting Roman ruins, dinosaur footprints, the safari park and a ton of other fascinating things. The museum is a must visit attraction and there’s no extra charge to visit it. You can also eat at the hotel, on the day we were there they offered great food and generous portions for 35 euros per person (lunch). Highly recommended. Hope to return soon.
