Treetop Walk and Skiing Adventure Showcase Slovakia’s Tatra Region

A cross-border excursion from Kraków is offering travelers a unique combination of treetop exploration and alpine skiing in Slovakia’s scenic Tatra region. The journey highlights the natural beauty of the Bachledova Valley and surrounding national parks, attracting visitors seeking both adventure and panoramic mountain views.

The experience begins in Ždiar, a traditional folk village located near the Polish border, known for its distinctive wooden architecture and cultural heritage. From there, visitors embark on a 30 to 40-minute uphill walk leading to a treetop pathway suspended 18 to 24 meters above the forest floor, offering an elevated perspective of the surrounding landscape.

The treetop walkway winds through dense forests and provides sweeping views of the Tatra Mountains and Pieniny National Park. Educational displays along the route introduce visitors to local wildlife and ecosystems, while a 32-meter-high observation tower offers an even broader perspective across the border region.

Following the nature walk, the itinerary continues with approximately four hours of skiing in the Bachledka area. Suitable for both beginners and experienced skiers, the slopes allow participants to glide through forested terrain and snow-covered peaks. The combined experience delivers a balanced mix of adventure, nature, and winter sports in one of Central Europe’s most picturesque regions.
