Spend a full day exploring the scenic waterways of Voyageurs National Park with our self-guided canoe and kayak tours. Perfect for beginners and intermediate paddlers, these tours allow you to experience the park at your own pace while following recommended routes provided by Voyageurs Outfitters. You will visit some of the park’s most notable locations and learn about the rich history of the area, including the routes once traveled by historic voyageurs. Each stop along the route includes interpretive information to enhance your understanding of the region’s culture, wildlife, and natural beauty. All tours begin and end at the Rainy Lake Visitor Center, making it easy to plan your day on the water.

Your self-guided tour includes all the necessary equipment for a safe and enjoyable adventure. Canoes or kayaks are delivered to the Visitor Center with paddles and personal flotation devices included. Whether you want to paddle through calm bays, explore winding channels, or simply enjoy the tranquility of Rainy Lake, this tour provides a flexible and immersive way to see the park’s waterways. All rentals are for day use only and must be returned by the end of the day, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the park’s stunning scenery and wildlife at your own pace.
