Hatcher Pass ATV Adventure

This 3-hour ATV or UTV adventure departs daily at 9:00 am and 1:00 pm, with guests asked to arrive at least 30 minutes early to ensure a prompt start. The tour includes a guided ride through the stunning Talkeetna Mountains at Hatcher Pass, along with all necessary gear and equipment such as waterproof clothing, boots, and helmets. Drivers are not provided, so participants must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver’s license. Riding through one of Alaska’s best-kept secrets, you’ll experience rugged mountain terrain, glaciated valleys, flowing streams, historic mining areas, and the chance to see local wildlife, all while enjoying some of the most breathtaking scenery in the region.

UTVs do not require prior experience and are suitable for beginners, while single-rider ATVs are available only to those with previous ATV riding experience, as they require active body movement and coordination for proper operation and have a maximum weight limit of 300 pounds. Guests who are uncomfortable around dogs should notify the operator in advance to ensure a comfortable experience. Cancellations made seven days or more before the tour receive a full refund minus fees, while cancellations three to six days prior receive a 50 percent refund. No refunds or rescheduling are offered within three days of the tour or for no-shows, and same-day or last-minute bookings are non-refundable. If the tour is canceled by the operator due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be issued.
