My husband and I recently had the privilege of having Peter as our personal guide for 13 days around the entire perimeter of Ireland. His professionalism, punctuality, and attention to every detail is impeccable. Most importantly he connects with his clients on a personal level focusing on them and whatever their needs are at that time. His knowledge of Ireland and its history is extensive whether he takes you to high tourist spots or the hidden gems off the beaten path. He is an excellent driver with great navigational skills. Most of all he is a proud Irishman who wants to share his deep love of his land with others. It is no wonder TripAdvisor has given him their Traveller’s Choice award multiple times, including 2025, placing him in the top 10% of recommended things to do worldwide. Peter Cooney is the best of the best as a tour guide. With your requests and a few suggestions, he will create an itinerary that is sure to please. His commentary as you travel the beauty of Ireland will add to your experience and your memories. Of course you will see touristy places, but he knows endless beautiful places to see that are off the beaten track. No matter what you are into... hiking, pubs, food, museums...there is no limit to Peter's participation and guidance. I have been on 3 tours with him. He is a kind, personable gentleman who values safety and care of his clients. The time you will spend with Peter will be filled with fun, be entertaining, educational and filled with lasting memories.

If you really want to see Ireland, hire Peter Cooney to guide you. My family of 8, ranging in age from 16 to 76, put our trust in Peter to lead us through this beautiful country, and he delivered. Peter worked with us to plan all of our stops, helped with luggage, and offered suggestions at each stop along our journey. He was flexible when needed and provided door to door service everywhere we went. As a person, Peter was polite, professional, respectful and on time. He provided a wealth of knowledge at every turn along the way and had insights that you wouldn't get with your average tour guide. We had conversations that went beyond the superficial, and his sense of humor was much appreciated (coming from a fellow Irishman). He also takes great pictures and was generous in sharing them with us. Peter gave our family the experience of a lifetime, and we are grateful to have spent our time in Ireland with him.

Without doubt visiting Ireland was the best trip of my life. I can say without a doubt that Peter's contribution to this experience was the height. Deciding to travel with a group of 14 people from America to Ireland was a big decision in itself. We based our accommodations on certain 'hot spots' and decided we were going to try and go ALL the way around the country in 10 days. As our trip neared, the anxiety of driving cautions and rentals/ luggage space, etc started to take over. During my research into a personal driver, I noticed Peter's name and Personal Tours Ireland kept popping up. Naturally, I did a deep dive and some serious cyber sleuthing into Peter and his company. It only took a little time to feel comfortable enough to send that email requesting more information from him. Upon that initial response, we spoke multiple times via email, phone, and what's app. Peter presented us with an extremely detailed itinerary based on our booked accommodations (this was before we even booked his services).. After a discussion with our group, we all said yes. Prior to our trip, Peter was constantly in communication to make sure we felt comfortable with the recommendations and was professional and responsive with any questions I had. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Peter at our hotel in Dublin. To say our lot was chaotic would be an understatement, trying to wrangle 14 people in a different time zone was a task on its own. Peter met us with patience and professionalism. What surprised us the most is we had booked Peter thinking he would be driving us around the country.. what we did not realize is we booked someone who would passionately TEACH us and GUIDE us through Ireland. The knowledge we accumulated while on this trip was unbelievable. The routes we drove were filled with beauty and history. Some of our favorite spots were not the 'instagram' locations we had originally thought, although, every bit of this country was magical, our favorite experiences were the unexpected ones, thanks to Peter's expertise. We all felt a bit sad our last day for leaving Ireland, but also for leaving Peter. We spent 8 wonderful days and over 2000 kilometers with him at our side. His passion, knowledge, pride and love for what he does and for Ireland was evident. As a whole, our group stated numerous times that the best part of this trip was having Peter with us. Without him, we would have missed some of the most beautiful parts of Ireland. I have and will continue to recommend Peter to anyone who asks or even inquires about visiting Ireland. A remarkable human with an even more incredible professionalism and passion for what he does. Thank you, Peter, for making this trip for our family and friends.

We were so lucky to have Peter for our whole week in Ireland! Someone referred him for our large family trip and we cannot be more thankful. He keeps it professional but knows when to have fun and you can tell he’s so passionate about what he does. If you want to have an amazing time in Ireland, you need to book Peter! You won’t regret it!
