By time we planned our trip, tickets were sold out for the days we were going to be in the area. My husband showed up at 4:30 am to get on the standby list. There were four people in front of him but lucky for us, they had 6 cancellations so we got to go. It was amazing! The crew was friendly and accommodating. Our tour guide, Hollywood, just exudes enthusiasm for Fort Jackson and Dry Tortugas. Loved the tour of the Fort and all the history and stories he shared. We’re not beach or snorkeling types, but there was plenty to see and do without getting in the water.
Dry Tortugas was a wonderful experience. I enjoyed the ferry ride over and back. The ferry crew was informative and fun. I'm a US Army veteran and I loved the history of Fort Jefferson. My wife any I brought our own snorkeling gear and swam the north beach area. Saw some fish. I highly recommend this when in the Keys.
OMG, what a great way to get to Dry Tortugas and enjoy the ride there and back. The crew was fantastic! Super friendly, very accommodating, always willing to help, and full of helpful hints. They were great at giving a heads up on the full itinerary and they tours of the site when you get there. They provided breakfast, coffee, lunch, and opened the bar on the ride back. It was simply a day of fun! Book early to get your spot and you will not be disappointed!
