Beautiful place but it's far too busy when the christmas market is on, hundreds of people in a small village. Better to go another time of the year when it's just as nice. Very nice village otherwise.

Running from late November to late December, the Christmas market in Riquewihr was extremely crowded on the first Saturday afternoon of the period. Parking was a major challenge - we ended up nearly a half mile away and walked up the hill. Others did worse. Kiosks with vin chaud, baked goods, trinkets, chocolates, clothing, and the like continue along the main street of this picturesque small village. There is a security presence but like always, be aware of your surroundings and keep valuables secure.

Cute place, christmas atmosphere, so many shops but same time so many people and higher prices. In general the whole village is small and the Christmas Market as well. 2 hours are maximum to visit.

As good as any Christmas market. Good parking, lots of stalls and a lovely decorated town

This tiny town is out of this world! I went there on the 25th of December so all the shops were unfortunately closed, but there were so many visitors. Those buildings over 500 years old were very well preserved and decorated for Christmas. Narrow streets, half-timbered houses and cute little stores - A must-stop if you are in Alsace during the Christmas season!
