Part of Honda Bay Island Hopping Tour but you can actually purchase a ticket for this island without going to the others. Nicest island out of the 3 tour destination. If you one person, you should purchase the tour from an agency. If you are more than one person, purchae on your own, you can save 50% or more on the tour. I was with my friend and purchased the tour through a travel agency. Found out cheaper to purchase on your own when we got to the boat. I would have saved 50% on the two of us vs an agency. Nice beach area. Island has a restaurant and restrooms.

Cowrie Island is usually the final and most relaxing stop on the Honda Bay island-hopping tour — and for good reason. Among the islands in the area, it’s the most developed, with decent facilities like cottages, restrooms, dining areas, and massage huts, making it ideal for resting and enjoying a lazy afternoon by the beach. The shoreline is wide and clean, with plenty of space to swim, lounge, or just hang out under a nipa hut. There are food and drink options on-site, and you can buy snacks, grilled meals, or drinks (some tour packages already include lunch here). There are also areas for volleyball and even some water activities depending on the season. While it’s great for groups and families, it’s not perfect: • The water is calm but not very clear, especially if there are a lot of boats and swimmers. • It can get crowded, especially during peak tourist hours or weekends. • Marine life here is minimal, so don’t expect good snorkeling — it’s more for relaxing than exploring underwater. Still, the overall vibe is laid-back, and the convenience of having restrooms, food, and shade makes Cowrie Island a comfortable stop for travelers looking to unwind. Pros: • Best facilities among Honda Bay islands • Spacious, clean beach area • Food, drinks, and shaded huts available • Great for families and groups Cons: • Not ideal for snorkeling • Can be crowded during peak hours • Water is not as clear compared to less-developed islands Overall: Cowrie Island is a solid, relaxing stop on the Honda Bay tour. It may not offer the most pristine waters, but its comfort and convenience make it a good place to end your island-hopping day on a chill note.

I lived in Palawan for six years, yet I had never visited a place quite like this. Last March 2025, my co-workers and I traveled from Iloilo to Palawan and finally decided to explore the islands. As we sailed closer, we could already see the island from afar—glistening and inviting, surrounded by fine, white sand that shimmered in the sunlight. The sea was crystal-clear and incredibly clean, revealing the pristine white seabed beneath. As we stepped off the boat, the soft sand felt like powdered flour under our feet. Roaming around the island, we saw people enjoying the full range of amenities it had to offer. For those seeking rest, there were peaceful spots under the trees along the shore, perfect for lying back beneath the tropical leaves. The gentle sea breeze, the chirping of hummingbirds, and the stunning view of the sea and mountains—seemingly touching the sky—created a magical moment where time seemed to slow down. Cowrie Island in Palawan is truly an unforgettable paradise. ❤️❤️❤️

Cowrie Island is a beautiful and well-maintained destination. The island is clean, and the food provided was excellent, making the experience even more enjoyable. The waters are crystal clear, perfect for swimming and relaxing. However, one thing that should be improved is visitor awareness of marine life. There are plenty of starfishes around the island, but unfortunately, we saw guests lifting and throwing them, which was really sad. It would be great to have signage reminding visitors not to touch or disturb marine animals to help protect them and preserve the island's ecosystem. Overall, our stay was wonderful, and with a little more focus on conservation efforts, it could be even better for both guests and marine life.

The island is really beautiful. Snorkeling is okay, although there are fewer fish and corals compared to other Honda Bay islands. The sandbar is wide, which is a great feature. A few important things to note: the rinse water on the island is also saltwater, which is understandable given the location. Some cottages are free to use, while others are not. Fresh buko (coconut) is available for only ₱60, which is quite affordable.
