My beautiful home was designed by de Siún Architects, to fit around my lifestyle. Their clever solution to the very high front-doorstep was to drop the floor level and so provide a space for my bicycle under the kitchen counter. The oak staircase is a lovely feature, with its vertical fins, hidden storage and display units. Most striking is the quality of the light in this terraced house. They achieved this by placing a large roof light, which captures the sun and floods the living room space. Upstairs, instead of a spare bedroom, the versatile space comprises an office and a sofa bed. A sliding door allows this area to be closed off. The amazing bathroom with views up to the sky and down to the backyard, feels like it’s floating in space. I had wanted a look that was industrial but playful and this is exactly what the architects designed, with the clever combination of concrete, oak and glass as well as my beautiful black Aga.

We hired DSA for a major project in our house. We were overall very dissatisfied with the services provided. We hoped for the house of our dreams but it turned into a nightmare. We sincerely regret hiring DSA and we would certainly not hire DSA for any future projects.
