Rented an XR250 from MAG to do my own loop around Guate. I wasn't on a tour, but David still took the time to help me plan my route and offered vital advice. The bike was well sorted and communication during the rental was easy. Very glad I went with this shop.

I’ve just returned from a fantastic three-country tour, with MAG Tours. Here are some reasons you should go ahead and book a tour, with confidence: David and the team know the country, the roads, people, language and cultures, very well. The bikes are well maintained and great for these roads (although struggle at the highest altitudes ~3000M) Routes are great - they provide a bit of everything for everyone. Great riding, scenery, some challenging sections, culture, activities for a day or two off the bikes. Experienced guides (Big thanks to Allen!) - I’ve done self-guided trips with friends, however it was definitely worthwhile having a guide for the three-country tour. Allen is a great tour leader, very capable rider and he knows these countries well - he got the tempo of the trip just right. MAG Tours have been doing this for years and it shows in their tour preparation, customer service, safety and security. Great variety - Terrain, hotels, experiences, landscapes - the list goes on. It’s a unique way of experiencing Guatemala, El Salvador & Honduras - Big thanks David & Allen.

We’ve just come back from a tour around Guatemala run by David and his team at MAG tours which was absolutely fantastic! From the expertly planned routes to the amazing experiences along the way, we couldn’t have asked for a better time in this beautiful country. If you are hesitating at all… just book the trip! You will be in great hands with MAGtours.

Reliable, well-maintained bikes rented by an expert on where to ride in Guatemala. My husband and I rented motorcycles here - he got a Honda XR 250 Tornado and I got an old Yamaha XT 250 for our two-week self-designed tour of Guatemala. I am 5’ 4” (162.56 cm) with a 29” (73.66) inseam, and the Yamaha was a PERFECT fit for me. The bikes are obviously VERY well maintained - David said several times that the old Yamaha was absolutely reliable and it was true - I rode it more than 1000 km, including some gnarly dirt and gravel, even a bit of sand, and the bike never let me down. Our bikes came with small saddlebags, which were perfect for putting in tools (provided), water, our hats, sunglasses and other things we needed quick access to (everything else we brought was in the dry bags we brought). He even provided straps for our dry bags. We designed our trip ourselves, but he was happy to look our planned route and offer advice (which we took - we changed some things per his advice). I'm sure if we had asked for hotel recs, he would have given them. Return process was flawless and easy. If you are an experienced motorcycle rider and ready to tackle the very steep roads and jaw-dropping hair pin turns of Guatemala, I highly recommend renting from Motorcycle Adventure Guatemala.

What a fantastic 4 day adventure ride with MAG- guided tour by David! We rode the highways, back roads and some pretty great dirt trails. I cannot recommend these guys enough. A perfect blend of riding adventure, touring this beautiful country, meeting the people and experiencing their culture and kindness. I fell in love with it all and am already planning another trip next year- a 13 day, 3 country tour. I cannot wait!! This was something I've always wanted to do. Honestly, every day I was smiling from ear to ear and so appreciative of the time that David took to tell me about the places we visited, the people we spoke with and the food that we ate, not to mention the great riding! AWESOME!!!! All of it! Thanks again!!!
