If you want to see the Aurora, BOOK THIS TOUR! I 100% recommend Fairbanks Aurora Tours! Aaron was a phenomenal guide! He is an expert on all things Aurora and will do everything he can to make sure you see it. I was a bit worried because it was going to be such a cloudy night- but Aaron remained hopeful and was confident that once we got out of the clouds we would be able to see it. He drove us 2.5 hours outside of Fairbanks and sure enough, we saw the Aurora!! He knew exactly where to go!! We were out from 9:30pm and returned to our hotel around 4:30am. I firmly believe if we had not booked this particular tour with Aaron we would not have seen the Aurora that night. It was worth every penny. If you are serious about seeing the Aurora while in Fairbanks… look no further, this is your tour!
Aaron was great! We drove from Anchorage to Fairbanks and stayed there for two days for a chance to see the aurora. On day one it was raining all night. On day two there was a large storm n the area during the day until 3-4pm. As the sky was still cloudy, we thought we would miss it. But he took us to a lake close to 2 hours of driving from Fairbanks.The sky was clear there we could see the Milky Way. Then we saw the northern lights! It was an amazing, once in a lifetime experience. Aaron really knows when and where to go for the best chances of viewing the aurora. Thank you Arron.
Aaron was our guide and he is the best! He was able to pick us up at our hotel and he made sure that we say the lights! He would not quit until we were all able to have a good view of the Aurora lights. He is very skilled in photography as well and the pictures he took of us were amazing! Highly Recommend doing this tour as it will be very worth your time! Make sure to wear warm gear as it was between -8 and 8*F during our tour.
