This was the most incredible experience! The guides were so nice and very knowledgeable. Also Kevin was a great sea captain. The seals were adorable and very playful! One jumped up in my husbandās kayak and another nosed and softly bit at my kayak paddle playing with it. The snorkeling was also super fun and it wasnāt too cold since we had the wetsuits. I was amazed at how close we were to the seals - they swam right by us and seemed curious of us. At the end of the tour they also let us jump off the top of the boat! Overall the experience of a lifetime and would recommend this tour a million times over!
My daughter chose this tour and Iām so happy she did. The crew was fantastic and it was such a treat to get up close and personal with the seals. Bonus - we got to see a bunch of Orcaās as well. Fantastic day out!
As a seasoned āplayerā in Vancouver who has explored countless local experiences, Iām still amazed that this hidden gem in Horseshoe Bay escaped my radar until now! Wearing a wetsuit and securing my kayak, we set off with an experienced captain towards Seal Island. The young and incredibly professional Amily guided us with boundless enthusiasm, leading us to snorkel alongside sealsāup close and personal. Some seals stretched gracefully as if showing off their yoga skills, others lounged lazily under the sun, and one playful seal even swam right up to my face to ākissā my GoPro! Amily was also wonderfully attentiveāhelping each of us try on our wetsuits, adjust our fins, and ensuring we were comfortable and safe. From gearing up in the shop to returning after the adventure, the entire experience lasted around five hoursāunbelievably good value for the quality of service and fun we had. Next, we headed to a second island, where I chose to kayak around it, drifting in crystal-clear water with seals gliding beside me and purple starfish scattered beneath the surface. On the way back, we all jumped off the boatās upper deck into the oceanāan unforgettable adrenaline rush! Back on board, Amily greeted us with hot soup, rich hot chocolate, and snacks. I also want to give special thanks to Jan, the lovely owner, who kindly rebooked me for free after I missed my original trip due to a traffic accident near Stanley Parkādespite the limited 12 spots and high summer demand. Her generosity made my first experience truly special. I rarely write Google reviews, but Sea Dragon Charters is professional, passionate, and absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!
