In our recent Canyon/Marble Canyon tour, my mom and I had an excellent time. We got Austin as our guide and he was supportive, kind and patient, which helped immensely to ease some winter nervousness (even if it’s still early part of the season) in our group. We also enjoyed a lot his remarks and anecdotes about the park, its evolution in time, and his efforts to communicate it all (even with non native English speakers). So, honestly… cannot recommend enough!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Amazing Tour! We went on a tour of Johnston Canyon today with our guide, Austin, and it was absolutely breathtaking! Austin was the perfect tour guide—knowledgeable, fun, witty, and always up for anything. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and felt completely safe and well taken care of throughout the trip. He’s also a great driver and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Our girl Sassy gave him a run for his money, and he played along perfectly! We highly recommend this tour and especially Austin—he truly made it unforgettable.

Our tour guide was amazing! Annika was funny, knowledgeable and had great advice about the region. We decided to book the tour, initially because the shuttles to Moraine Lake were all booked out for the next two days. This was a great alternative because the road to Moraine Lake is closed to the public with entrance allowed only for tour buses or the shuttle. We had four hours to hike around the lake which was ample time:) We were fortunate enough to have a break in the weather and chose to hike Sentinel Pass at Moraine Lake yesterday! Amazing views and the Larch Valley was breathtaking with the leaves changing colors this time of the year! Can’t wait to return!

I did the Lake O’Hara guided hike with Austin, and it was incredible. Our group chose the trail for the day and decided to hike to Lake McArthur. It was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited. The transport included was super helpful, as I didn’t have to worry about figuring out my own way there and back (which would’ve been nearly impossible). It allowed me to visit somewhere really special. Austin was an excellent guide. He was informative, engaging, and passionate about the area. I couldn’t recommend this more. :)

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Explore Banff on the Lake O’Hara guided hiking tour. Our group included my mom and me, two solo hikers, and our guide Brooke. While we didn’t use the company’s transfer service and met Brooke directly at the Lake O’Hara parking lot, it was great to see that they offer flexible pick-up options—other members of our group were collected in Banff and even from farther afield, which makes the experience really accessible. Brooke was a fantastic guide. She set a perfect pace for the group, checked in often, and made sure everyone had what they needed—from water to trekking poles for those who didn’t bring their own. She was also incredibly knowledgeable about the local wildlife and the flora and fauna of the area, which added so much to the hike and gave us a deeper appreciation of the stunning environment around us. We hiked both the Lake Oesa trail and the Lake O’Hara shoreline loop, and the scenery was breathtaking. Like many others, we weren’t successful in the Parks Canada lottery, so we were thrilled to discover that outfitters like Explore Banff make it possible to experience this extraordinary place. While staying multiple days at Lake O’Hara would be a dream, this guided tour was the perfect way to spend a memorable day.
