1000 STARS! - Our family group of 10 is mildly allergic to “follow the flag” group tours, so when we travel together we look for small private companies instead of big companies that pack buses full of strangers. We struck gold when we found PGT Tour Company. Nikos Loukas, the owner, was so easy t ok work with…especially since our Big Fat Greek Family Trip fluctuated from 5 to 14 and then back down to 10. Theo, both, picked us up at the airport and dropped us off at the beach in a beautiful gold Mercedes minibus and escorted us professionally and safely. And George, our new best friend, took us to Delphi in another posh Mercedes minibus on the BEST full day tour ever!!! We cannot say enough about George! Our trip with him was OUTSTANDING! It was like a full day of stand up comedy meets Greek Jeopardy meets the Economist Magazine. We learned about everything from why barbarians are called barbarians, to the multi-millennial history of Greece, to music, to Tolkien, to farm economics in the EU(the highway to Delphi will be self explanatory when you go if the farmers are still protesting). Utterly fascinating. Everyone in our group is still talking about our day trip and even the teenagers loved him. We could not have asked for better people to take care of our family, 1000% and Nikos and his decades of experience made it all extremely easy. Truly, if you are interested in a very personalized experience, this is the way to go. It’s more affordable than you’d think. We hired the services and then split it amongst ourselves. The price per person is the same in some instances or only a few more dollars than the mega-booking companies. AND! you get a lot more freedom. Like, stopping at the roadside honey stand because you’re a bunch of fresh honey fiends! Or choose a local restaurant that makes its own liquors from local herbs & fruits instead of a giant place that can accommodate a bus tour. We also lead group tours around the world and we’ll definitely be using Private Greece Tours for our Greece trip for our multi-day tours. Thank you for treating our family like your family….or maybe even a little better :) !

Day 1 After a 10 night cruise our two days spent with "Private Greek Tours" is the most talked about and the highlight of the vacation. Our driver "Dominic" we met at 8 am the day of disembarkation at the port of Piraeus in Athens, the start was a ferry ride to Aegina for the day and Dominic was terrific and full of information about the area and answered any questions we had. My wife wanted to go for a swim in the Saronic gulf and Dominic took us to the perfect beach area, and then off to a local lunch venue and the hunt for pistachios. We concluded the day with a ferry ride back to Piraeus and our hotel, we made plans for our pickup at 8 am at the hotel from "Private Greece Tours" and Dominic. Day 2 Our driver was bang on time at 8 am to pick us up at the hotel and whisk off to the Acropolis, we had "Private Greece Tours" arrange for a private guide for our time at the Acropolis and the guide Nikos brought the area to life with his explanations and historic knowledge. We did "Athens Best & Sounio Full Day Tour", this was a great way to take in the Athens highlights and beyond. Our driver (Dominic) had us feeling safe and relaxed the entire time from day 1, he managed to make all our wishes happen. We enjoyed the ability to change any part of the tour to meet our wants, my wife had a spontaneous request to turn around while going down the highway to return to a local playground and Dominic did this safely and she got to play. Our lunch venue recommended by Dominic was spot on, a local seafood restaurant was terrific. Dominic was always willing to take photos for us if we stopped along the tour, we went to the Temple of Poseidon which was a self guided tour and one of the best areas we enjoyed. We concluded our day with a drive back to our hotel and had to say till next time, we will be back and make "Private Greece Tours" part of our time in Greece. Thanks Nikos and team Wayne and Stephanie British Columbia, Canada

We’ve been using Private Greek Tours every time we visit Athens for over 10 years, and they never disappoint! Their drivers are always knowledgeable, personable, and fluent in English, which makes every tour smooth and enjoyable. On our most recent full-day tour with Tolis, we had an incredible experience. He gave us the freedom to adjust our schedule as we wished and took us to a wonderful local restaurant off the beaten path that was absolutely amazing. He picked us up at the cruise terminal in a new, clean, and comfrtable van that was updated to include extra steps and a handrail to easy entry and exit. This was extremely helpful to our older passengers. In just eight hours, we visited the Acropolis, Ancient Agora, Lycabettus Hill, and the Plaka, witnessed the Changing of the Guards, enjoyed a driving tour of other key sites, had a relaxing sit-down meal, and ended the day at a famous baklava bakery. We made instant friendships with Tolis and spent the day laughing and carefree. His warmth, humor, and deep knowledge of Greek history and culture made the day truly unforgettable. We will continue to use Private Greek Tours every time we return to Athens and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a personalized, first-class tour!

Apostolis was an amazing driver guide! We had a lovely day on our tour from Athens to Corinth in the Footage of Apostle Paul. We saw wonderful sights, took great pictures. He was kind and courteous and very customer service oriented. When we wanted a snack or a restroom, he was very accommodating. He also gave us very good history and information. We saw everything we wanted to and more🥰

We used Private Greece Tours for airport transfers (pick up and drop off) as well as a 3 day trip to Meteora and Delphi from Athens. Our multi-day tour driver was Dominik and he was awesome: informative, friendly, hysterical and always punctual. He was full of great ideas for making the most out of our stay (like never eating in the same town twice and beating crowds) and suggested tasty restaurants at each location. Knowing that I love photography, he also made sure to stop at fantastic photo spots and points of interest. We absolutely loved our time and recommend Private Greece Tours to everyone! We’ll absolutely use PGT again for any future visits.
