The experience begins with a deep dive into the agave plant, revered in Mexico for thousands of years. You will learn about its historical, cultural, and economic significance, exploring how it has shaped traditions, rituals, and the identity of local communities. Guided by an expert from a family with five generations of mezcal knowledge, you will gain insights into the cultivation, harvest, and transformation of agave into mezcal. This immersive introduction sets the stage for a hands-on understanding of Mexico’s most iconic spirit, connecting chemistry, biology, and anthropology in a way that brings the heritage alive.

Afterward, the journey continues in a colonial house in Oaxaca, offering an intimate and authentic tasting setting. You will savor five unique mezcals from different regions, discovering how production methods, soil, and climate influence flavor and aroma. The guide will share stories of family traditions, artisanal techniques, and local customs that elevate the tasting experience beyond a simple drink. Guests leave with a deeper appreciation for mezcal, the agave plant, and the cultural roots of Oaxaca. The setting, full of history and character, enhances the experience, making it both educational and sensory.

Ramy was by far the best guide we could have asked for! We booked the tour super last minute, and he somehow managed to fit us in with just an hour's notice. The mezcal sunset tour was incredible—Ramy was so knowledgeable and shared all about the mezcal production process. And the unlimited mezcal tasting was definitely the best part! I can’t recommend this enough to anyone interested in mezcal—Ramy is your go-to guy!

**Amazing Mezcal Tour Experience in Oaxaca** I recently had the pleasure of embarking on a mezcal tour in Oaxaca, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The highlight of our journey was our host, Ramy, who is undoubtedly the best tour guide in town. His enthusiasm and deep knowledge of mezcal really enriched our understanding of this traditional spirit. **What Made It Special:** - **Expert Guidance:** Ramy’s expertise in mezcal production was impressive. He explained the entire process, from agave farming to distillation, making the intricate details easy to understand and appreciate. - **Authentic Tastings:** We visited several local distilleries where we sampled a variety of mezcals. Each tasting was accompanied by Ramy’s insightful explanations about the flavor profiles and the unique characteristics of each type. - **Cultural Connection:** Ramy also shared fascinating stories about the cultural significance of mezcal in Oaxacan society, enhancing our appreciation for the drink and its roots. - **Personal Touch:** The tour felt intimate and personalized, allowing us to ask questions and engage deeply with both the guides and the craftsmanship behind mezcal. Overall, this mezcal tour was a highlight of my time in Oaxaca, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore the rich culture and traditions of this beautiful region. Thanks to Ramy, it was an experience I’ll cherish for a long time!

Fantastic. Don't let the small numbers of reviews stop you from booking. Our Mezcal tour offered everything that the more expensive tours offered through Platforms like Airbnb, with a far smaller group and more reasonable price. Those tours often have 20+ people. Our guide Ramy was amazing. Incredibly knowledgeable, funny and personable. We really came away from the experience not only better understanding mezcal but mexico and its history and people's thanks to him. He really went out of his way to help us.

The tour was just perfect. Our guide Remy (he spoke both perfect English and Spanish) was extremely nice from the very beginning, when we were late and he still waited for us for longer than he should have. He showed us every single process to make the mezcal and explained all in details. We then had a beautiful tour through the agave plantations at sunset with Ricardo, great guy with a vibrant personality that made the trip fun and beautiful. He even went the extra mile by landing me his jacket as I forgot to bring one and it was definitely cold when the sun went down. We had an amazing experience, leant a lot about this beautiful art of making mezcal, tasted the best mezcal of our lives and met beautiful people. We highly recommend it!

This was one of the most impressive tours I have ever experienced. Beautiful Mezcal, beautiful country and a wonderful tour guide. Ramy, our guide, was exceptionally knowledgeable about the history and differences of the variety Mezcal we tried. The charming ride out to the agave field win an awesome truck converted into a barrel of Mezcal as beyond beautiful and it was an experience I wont soon forget! But above all, Ramy was such a great tour guide. If you are looking for an in-depth and fun tour of all things Mezcal, look no further and book with Ramy!
