We went to Sommaroy Island Norway for a day trip. It is a unique place where time Stands Still without Clock in Scandinavian Region. Sommaroy Island is approximately 1 hour drive away from Tromso Norway. On the waywe stop by so many picturesque viewpoints in Kvaloya. Sommaroy is a unique place where you can see midnight Sun in Summers & Northern Lights in winters. Sommaroy has small population with 350 people declared time free Zone in 2019 which means they removed clocks from all public places. Andie was an excellent guide. Friendly and generous with information, she took us to some of the most stunning scenery on the islands. She also prepared a delicious traditional lunch and dessert herself. Everyone enjoyed the day immensely; it was truly worthwhile.
We had a wonderful trip led by Andie Szatmari of Aura 7. Not only did Andie teach us about fjords, Norwegian history and culture, she made served us a delicious homemade lunch. As an added bonus, she is a talented photographer who gifted us with beautiful portraits of us along scenic areas. We left the trip with knowledge, full tummies, and beautiful photos that will allow us to long remember this wonderful trip.
