Lovely camping in the middle of nature. Really Hot and spacious showers (2), large shared house (16 seats) well equipped (kettle, toaster) although only one cooker and the place has no heating. There is also a washing machine and a dryer. Nearby you have access to the hotel hot swimming pool (highly recommended) for a discounted price, a bistrot (great soup and friendly staff) and a small "grocery" store. There is a gas pump too. And a few hikes you can start right from the camping. We were there for 2 nights late September, so off season, with barely any other campers. Great region yo explore

This is a really lovely camp site. We went late September. Very quiet. Clean facilities warm water. Warm loo block. Get away from the reception area and it’s like you have the place to yourself. Lovely to camp amongst the trees. Reasonable prices too.

Really not sure why there are negative ratings for this campsite. This was one of the best campsites we stayed at during the entire trip. The price was very fair. The kitchen and dining area was nice and cozy. The showers were free. Lastly, it was very peaceful at night.

My favourite campsite we stayed at. Very nice and well equipped kitchen, stove, kettle, coffee maker, toastie maker, the only thing missing was a microwave. Dishwashing soap and sponges provided. Lots of space. Free washing machines and indoor and outdoor space to dry clothes. Toilets were kept clean. There were only two showers which I think could be an issue in peak season when it's full.

Best campsite we’ve stayed at so far! I don’t understand why the ratings are so low. For 4 people and 2 tents we paid 10,320 ISK. • Reception is in the hotel right next to the campsite. • Fully equipped kitchen: stove, toaster, kettle, cutlery, plates, pots, fridge, oven, hot water, dining area, and lots of leftover supplies to use – feels like a home kitchen. • Showers included in the price: hot water, very spacious with plenty of room to change and keep your things. • Washing machine and dryer included in the price. • Many sockets in the kitchen for charging phones and power banks. • BBQ available. • Laundry drying area – both indoors and outdoors. • Toilets very clean.
