I really love aquariums. The one we visited this time reminded me a lot of the aquarium in Shanghai, China. Going there with my partner made the whole experience feel very special and full of happiness. It’s definitely a place worth visiting and enjoying slowly together. Walking through the tunnels surrounded by fish and blue light felt so peaceful, and it was the perfect way to escape from daily stress. We spent a long time just watching the marine life and taking photos, completely immersed in the atmosphere. It became one of the most memorable moments of our trip.

It's definitely a must if you are in the area, the ticket kiosk is easily accessible and the main entrance is wide and inviting, well lit leading into a cavernous area before descending into the depths of marine life, all accessible on a flat/ramped surface or steps if you do wish. Everywhere is wheelchair, child buggy etc friendly, there are 2 places to eat, both offering a good variety of food and drinks, while one tops it off with a panoramic view of underwater marine life. Everywhere is clearly marked and well lit, the species to view have a digital photo guide available in 3 languages to cater for 99% if visitors. Taking pictures is permitted however NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY is allowed. We spent 2½hrs within and would have stayed longer but we'd reached closing time so I'd suggest please allow this timeframe at minimum. A great place with helpful polite staff set in a prime location not far from bus stops, shopping mall and a safe main road crossing.

The aquarium itself is amazing, huge number of smaller aquariums and two big ones with great views. There is a caffe and restaurant inside with ok prices. Route is well organized and split into different zones. The price is pretty high, but worth it. Unfortunately the waiting area before entrance was extremely crowded, that's why I can't give it 5 stars

Poema del Mar Aquarium in Tenerife is absolutely beautiful and well worth a visit. The aquarium is modern, well-designed, and home to a wide variety of marine species from around the world. The highlight for me was the giant aquarium tank with sharks. Standing in front of it was truly impressive and mesmerizing — watching the sharks glide through the water felt both exciting and calming at the same time. It’s the kind of experience that makes you stop, stare, and completely forget about time. Every section is thoughtfully designed, making the visit interesting and enjoyable from start to finish. Whether you’re traveling solo, with friends, or with family, Poema del Mar is an unforgettable and fascinating place to explore. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Tenerife.

Absolutely beautiful aquarium! We had a great time visiting Poema del Mar. The place is modern, well-organized and very clean. The highlight for us was the final giant aquarium – it looks like a huge cinema screen and it's truly breathtaking. Watching the big sharks and stingrays swimming calmly was mesmerizing. There are lots of different tanks with colorful fish, corals, and even tropical environments. It’s a perfect place for both adults and kids. Highly recommended if you’re in Gran Canaria!
