Immerse yourself in the authentic charm of northern Gran Canaria on a full-day cultural and landscape adventure. Departing from the south, the tour reveals villages that preserve the island’s soul and traditions. Begin in Arucas, a city renowned for its volcanic stone Church of San Juan Bautista and charming cobblestone streets. Stroll through the historic center, admire traditional houses, and experience the essence of local life. Depending on the day, visit the Arehucas Rum Distillery, one of Spain’s oldest, or a banana farm to discover the island’s most emblematic products up close. Every corner of Arucas offers a story, from its architecture to its vibrant culture.

Continue to Firgas, the picturesque “water village,” where fountains, artificial waterfalls, and colorful tiles depicting the seven islands create a serene atmosphere. End the tour in Teror, a historic town with cobblestone streets, wooden balconies, and local delicacies like Teror chorizo. Stroll at your own pace, savor authentic Canarian cuisine, and soak in the traditional charm before returning to the south. This excursion combines history, culture, and gastronomy, offering an unforgettable experience that captures the heart of Gran Canaria.

As a dietitian and a big fan of Mediterranean cuisine, I don’t hand out five stars easily, but this place was absolutely worth it. The food was outstanding and full of flavor.

Creative bold flavors. Wonderfully friendly service. We loved the potato’s tasco, the cod cheese clay pot dish, the stuffed mushrooms, the salad of the day, and the cheesecake. The mussels were mussels. If you like them you like them, if you don’t, this won’t convince you. Not vegetarian friendly, nearly everyone has some meat or fish in it.

I ordered bacalao (cod fish) and asked if it comes with a side or not, for example some potatoes. They recommended me to take papas arrugadas with them. Those were amazing, nothing to complain but the main fish was already 80% potatoes and onion and a very small portion of fish, it doesn't require a side dish in this case

Such a nice and typical restaurant, with very fresh food and local produce ! One of the best restaurants I've been to on this island and I have been here already 3 months, who would have know about this lovely hidden gem.. the ailioli sauce is lovely as well as it has the best papas arrugadas ( or home potatoes) with a soft inside and crispy skin, with a lovely mojo sauce... Absolutely amazing for tapas !

Toy come to Firgas for the water stairs but even better, come for a fabulous meal at La Tasca de Canarias. One of the best restaurants on the island we have encountered. The ribeye was cooked to perfection, the olives, bread, risotto and everything else was perfect. Don’t bother with the tourist places, this has local cheeses and wines and is so good.
