If you’re in for an amazing trip with a breathtaking view, then you should try the Shala River boat tours. One tip, you have to book in advance, and be there at least 30 minutes before, especially if you’re travelling by car. Another tip, always take an extra jacket with you 🙂 For the rest, prepare the camera, and enjoy the view. We were headed to Valbona in our trip, and we chose this way, only because of the fantastic view it offers. I strongly recommend to try this boat trip at least once. If you travel north of Albania, this is a must.
Easy going but at this time of the year you will have small issues because they are working on fixing the road with excavators by making the road wider but most of the road is good to go there with a small car or suv doesnt really mater than you have to take the boat at the start of the dam . There you can chose the classic shala river boat or other speed boats depending on price mostly . There also is food ad shala river but its a bit pricy but the drinks are normal priced . And another thing for adventurists if you follow the river upstream just be careful because you will see snakes like the one that i show at the end of the video but they are water snakes mostly ! Also if you are taking the road from tirana there are 2 cool places to check out i have put them below !
Amazing view. We took a bus ride from Sköder to the start of the boat tour. The bus right was uncomfortable and long. Nice boat ride of 20 minutes to the spot with beach bars. Nice place to take a swim and eat and drink something. Beautiful view.
