We just completed the 5-island excursion with our captain, Olivier. We had a wonderful time thanks to his good humor and informative explanations. He even managed to spot a turtle under a rock during our snorkeling trip in the lagoon. The boat was great, and the group was lovely. Thanks to Brian for his responsiveness and availability via WhatsApp 👍. I highly recommend it 😉

We did the 5 island speed boat trip in January and were disappointed. First, we had a nice and slow drive to Ile Aux Cerfs west, where we had a stop of 30mins only. We would have enjoyed a longer stay, because the sea und bathing was super nice. Second, we continued to the waterfall, which absolutely wasn’t worth it. We waited in line with 10 other boats and only had about 30seconds close to the waterfall, which wasn’t enough time to enjoy it or take pictures. Third, we went fullspeed to the Lighthouse island that was invaded by around 20 boats at the same time. Next we continued to a place for snorkeling. The captain anchored right in the corals and when we went in the water we found all dead corals and little fish diversity. Ile aux Aigrettes was skipped completely on our tour, but in general the 5 islands trip never enters the island but only visits the waters around it. After the snorkeling we went to see dolphins. We found our captain carelessly going over the dolphins and were shocked. So the people in board told him to leave the location after 1 minute of dolphin disrespect. Next was a stop for Parasailing, which cost extra. Finally, we went to Ile Aux Cerfs east. The barbecue and relaxing time on the beach was the nice part of the trip. In general, on the boat we had to listen to loud disturbing music all the time instead of enjoying the sound of nature. There was no shade for 1/3 of the passengers nor water provided. The one positive point was the vanilla rum that was shared at one stop. In short, the whole trip felt very rushed and with little regard to valuing nature. It was still nice to be on the sea and have this perspective on Mauritius. I would recommend to look for a trip covering less stops for a nicer experience, and agencies that take care of wildlife.

My twin daughters and I took this trip and we were simply blown away by the experience. The company was super organised and friendly. Our skipper Donovan was polite and very patient in finding us a turtle and dolphins. The taxi driver Cherry was prompt, friendly and took us to see a beach along the way. I would highly recommend doing this trip with them 👍🐬🐢
