Spend four hours in total relaxation exploring the maritime area of Syracuse and the island of Ortigia aboard a modern motor boat with an expert skipper. We booked the 2-hour tour, and it was an amazing experience, definitely a must-do! Our guide, Lucia, was wonderful and fun, supportive, and very kind. During a swimming stop, she encouraged my girlfriend (who did not swim before) to give it a try and cheered her on the whole time. She even took photos of us without us asking(because we forgot🙃), which was such a thoughtful surprise. We really appreciated her effort and initiative. We booked a private, 2-hour boat tour with Syracuse Excursion as part of our honeymoon in Sicily. Our guide (Ninni) was hospitable and very knowledgeable about the history of the area. We learned a lot from him throughout our tour as we ventured to the sea caves beneath Syracuse, went swimming, and visited the Plemmirio marine protected area. If you’re only in Ortigia for a short period of time, this is the best way to admire the beauty of the city and learn about its history and culture. Our cruise docked in Siricusa today. We had the best time with Lucia on this boat excursion. It is only an hour in length but it is jammed packed. We visited the caves, took a dip in the sea and learned all about the island and it’s history. It was the perfect start to our day! I highly recommend.
