Five stars for Easter Island Travel – and ten for Jennie! If you’re heading to Rapa Nui and want to see everything (and I mean everything, from sacred moai to the airport runway), do yourself a favor and book with Easter Island Travel – and pray that you get Jennie as your guide. Jennie guided four middle-aged men with “special” humor around the island for three days, and not only survived but actually matched our jokes with her own. She was warm, respectful, endlessly knowledgeable about the island’s history and culture, and—crucially—just the right level of cheeky mischief to keep us on our toes. We covered all the major sights with her: the iconic ahus, Orongo, the volcano craters, the windswept coastlines, and of course the legendary Rano Raraku quarry. The quarry was the unanimous highlight… well, almost unanimous. One member of our group maintains that the true peak experience was filming a Dreamliner taking off from the runway (which, fun fact, was also an emergency landing strip for the Space Shuttle). Priorities differ. At the quarry, Jennie even persuaded one of us to take a “kiss photo” with a moai—an act of mild humiliation that will no doubt live forever in our group chat. She also chauffeured us around the island with impressive calm, no major incidents, and impeccable local knowledge. We did have another guide on a boat tour the first day (allegedly a snorkel trip, though somehow it turned into “looking at the water from above” instead of “being in it”). But from day two onward Jennie pretty much redeemed the entire trip. Jennie also heroically guided us through the local craft markets. Despite being seasoned negotiators in corporate boardrooms, we quickly realized that our skills evaporated the moment we faced friendly island vendors. Thankfully, Jennie stepped in to prevent us from paying “tourist premium deluxe” for everything. And to top it all off, she dropped us at the airport on our final day with a small farewell gift from the island. A perfect end to a fantastic experience. Highly recommended. If Easter Island Travel is the engine, Jennie is the turbocharger. Book her if you can—you’ll thank us later.

I can‘t recommend the easter island travel shore excursion. We did the tour as guests of a cruise ship on 3rd December (better a late review than no review). The ,,tour-guide‘‘ was more like a driver. He did tell us the bare minimum about the stops, didn‘t wait to talk until everybody was there which was totally not understandable as our group was small, only 7 people & we were all good by foot. Why not give everybody the chance to listen & enough time for photos? The tour was supposed to last 6h 30 min but in the end lasted only about 5 hours. The guide never told us what is the next stop or how much time we have there (what a tour guide is supposed to do?!). Also he had no microphone in the van and talked so silently that we couldn’t hear him in the back. Also he drove so fast like in a race that we didn‘t feel safe nor did we have the chance to take any good pictures from the car. Why the rush?! We had enough time…. His whole attitude was not professionell or engaging. You‘ll be better of with an other tour company that gives you enough informations and is therefore worth the money

If you have the luck in getting Alberto as your guide - you are in for the treat of a lifetime. He was so knowledgeable in history, geology, botany, archeology - there was not a question we asked he could not answer, even if the answer was "there are multiple theories on that topic!" He is a safe driver, courteous, and gives clear instruction when needed during our exploration. Additionally, he is humorous and takes excellent photos - which made our time together just perfect. This is the perfect tour for those who are looking for a cultural education done with respect to Rapa Nui as an ever changing people. Worth every penny - oh and he knows the best spot for lunch!

I did 2 x day tours and they were both extremely good. Our guide spoke excellent English and gave us plenty of information and history at each of the stops we made, with plenty of time to take photos. Both days we stopped for a lovely freshly-cooked lunch at a family home and our hosts made us feel very welcome. I would be pleased to recommend this tour company.

Wonderful and informative guides that really teach you about the island and your surroundings. The groups are smaller so you get more one on one questioning with your guide. We were provided lunch with our tour at a beautiful local home. Absolutely recommend the experience
