Our tour begins with a visit to Golubac Fortress, a medieval stronghold and the only fortress in history that has never been conquered by any army. Perched on the banks of the Danube River, it offers stunning views and a deep sense of history, showcasing the strategic importance and architectural brilliance of medieval fortifications. Visitors can explore its towers, walls, and courtyards while learning about the battles and stories that shaped the region. From there, we continue to Lepenski Vir, the oldest European settlement, where ancient remains and artifacts reveal the life and culture of early human civilizations along the Danube. Walking through the site, guests gain insight into prehistoric architecture, art, and society.

The journey continues with a scenic drive through the Iron Gates Gorge, one of Europe’s most spectacular natural landscapes, where dramatic cliffs meet the flowing river. Guests will enjoy a speed boat ride, experiencing the gorge from a unique perspective and appreciating its natural beauty, wildlife, and tranquil waters. The tour concludes at Kapetan Misin Breg viewpoint, a perfect spot to admire panoramic views of the river and surrounding landscape. This combination of historical, cultural, and natural attractions makes the tour unforgettable, blending adventure, learning, and breathtaking scenery in one seamless experience.

It could have been the grandest & strongest fortress in Serbia? Definitely a must visit. Here I just want to make a remark that in case you come with a guided day tour, make sure that you get a ticket that Covers all zones, if you want to climb to the top, & make sure that enough time is given. I was so disappointed that I was given the lowest level ticket, not given enough explanations, nor time nor options to climb the entire fortress.

A truly impressive fortress and one of the highlights of our trip to Serbia! The place is full of history, with towers offering breathtaking views over the Danube River. What amazed us most was how well organized everything is – the staff are professional, friendly, and extremely helpful. There are different circuits you can choose from depending on the level of adventure you want, and we really appreciated the safety measures: the most dangerous route is only allowed if you are properly dressed and equipped. It shows how seriously they care about visitors’ safety while still offering an authentic experience. Serbians really know how to make the most out of everything, and this fortress is a perfect example. A must-visit

We had a pleasant visit here. Very nice renovation, beautiful garden and landscape. Depending on the route you want to visit, adequate equipment is required. Kids under 12 years old can only visit green route, difficulty increases for each color after green. For green it can take up to 2 hours for the visit, taking other routes can probably take 3 to 5 hours. Recommend a visit here, also nearby town is very nice.

One of the best places to visit in Serbia. Sadly we went almost at closing time and only had an hour to explore, but we did make the most of it. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Prices were adequate for such a well kept monument. We were very impressed with the level of the exhibitions and we will definitely be back with more time to explore the higher towers (we only managed to visit three). Make sure you bring long pants and comfortable sport shoes.

Opens at 10 am, they do accept card payments, there is parking on site but not a lot, great customer service, everyone polite… even the drive to it is beautiful🏰💗 Unforgettable experience, didn’t do much research before my visit but enough to know there were different zones & some zones were more difficult. I thought we were going to purchase the green zone which is the easiest one but my company wanted to see more so I thought we were purchasing the next zone up which would have been blue but we ended up purchasing the red zone which was even more difficult, we got the colours confused. They check everyones shoes before selling the red zone ticket, I thought it was odd but now I know why, proper shoes required, a bit of a climb over rocks to the stairs, beautiful, will always remember this, must see for everyone…
