Just amazing. So well organised and not too busy when we went. All decorated for Christmas and carol singers in entrance hall. The grounds are so beautiful. Facilities excellent. Plenty of places for food and drink as well as a Christmas marquee for extra seating. A lovely gift shop and a gorgeous Christmas book as part of the package. The Egyptian exhibition in the cellars was an added bonus with genuine artefacts and a wealth of information. Fabulous day.

Absolutely amazing experience. Good long tour around the castle.. Walking in the same footsteps as the famous stars of, 'Downton Abbey '. Exhibition in the basement of the castle of Egyptian archive. Only problem was no photos allowed inside the castle.
Peter

Did the Christmas themed, guided tour of the Castle and the Egyptian exhibition. Our guide Yvonne was very knowledgeable and very happy to answer any questions. A splendid experience. Then finished off with afternoon tea in a marquee on the grounds next to the castle. Very nice food. Prompt friendly service. A really nice afternoon.

We had a wonderful time at Highclere Castle .It was the second last day on my trip to the U.K . The grounds are beautiful and the castle stunning . Could not take photos inside it take my word it is worth a visit. The staff are very knowledgeable and passionate about their job . When you walk through those huge wooden doors you think you have walked into a Downton Abbey set .
Mary

Absolutely stunning Castle and very informative and professional tour. We also had a wonderful lunch and tea service with plenty of cakes and desserts along with our pre-booked castle tour. Our tour guide Sarah was wonderful and gave us all the details necessary to truly appreciate this beautiful castle. We learned a lot about the Lord and Lady Carnavron and about the history of the castle and the families who have called this beautiful place home. We were able to walk among the gardens and that was stunning. There should be an entire page dedicated to the fantastic Egyptian antiquities exhibit found as part of this tour!
