Update 12/12/25: Jackie from Disabled Accessible Travel reached out to me in response to my review. She shared my concerns with her local partner who addressed it with the actual guide. She did also refund 50% of the tour fee. I appreciated her response and effort to make the best of an unfortunate situation. She also assured me that this is not the experience customers typically have and that they work closely with staff to ensure every tour exceeds expectations. I will say they are very responsive and communication in pre-booking and afterwards was great. My recommendation is to contact the tour operator immediately if at any time it is not meeting your expectation. I feel confident that Jackie will resolve the issue instantly. Sadly we didn’t get to see what we wanted to… We booked a tour of Istanbul and clearly stated sites we wanted to see. I had done lots of research about different sites and which ones were accessible. The day started off poorly when the driver and guide insisted on going past the “guard gate” to drop us off about 30 meters closer to the building, we sat and wasted 30 minutes trying to get approval, didn’t make any sense. Then we went past the blue mosque and toured the Topkapi Palace which was nice, but the guide spent way too much time explaining useless trivial facts. We kept telling him we needed to move along as time was running out. At one point we waited as he was going over some trivia with other guides when my wife finally decided to lift my wheelchair up several stairs as we were tired of waiting. We wanted to see the Blue Mosque, and our guide said it was not possible as it was not accessible? We knew that was not true. So huge disappointment there, we also did not get to see the Haifa Sophia as he said it was not possible. We then headed to the grand bazaar, and afterwards the guide was desperate for us to visit this hotel rooftop cafe, he obviously had a relationship with the owners. Time had elapsed and we kept telling him we needed to head back to the ship, but the driver was not able to pick us up at the hotel. So we traveled several blocks to then wait for the van. It was clear the driver did not know what he was doing. It was an expensive tour and did not deliver what we were promised or what we were hoping for. To stand 30-40 meters away from Hagia Sophia for a photo of it in the background was not what we expected and to not be able to visit the blue mosque was equally disappointing.

We booked a 4 hour afternoon tour of Madeira via Jackie, and communication was great. The tour was tailored to our preferences. Our guide Thiago was fantastic, and the vehicle was perfect. I can’t fault anything about this experience and I highly recommend to others.

Travelodge Chadderton Oldham Had a really bad experience. Room was dark, dingy, smelly, mouldy. I was told they are waiting on a refurb, and that's why it's in such bad condition. They said according to policy, they had to offer the same accommodation, which they did not have. I even offered to take a non accessible room which I was told they had none. As soon as I entered it was making me wheeze. They had nothing else to offer, despite it being in Manchester where there are several Travelodges. I was not offered any help. 4 hrs travelling, 230 miles from home, stranded with nowhere to stay. I contacted the number on my invoice to be told I'd have to write to customer services. They asked if I had been offered another hotel which I had not. I have now been in contact with customer services, who have refused to refund, then offered a partial refund of 1/3 of total room rate. I think this is taking full advantage of disabled people offering substandard accommodation and if they ask for better they get nothing. I was so tired, but even that was not enough to sleep in that room with respiratory issues. This company are horrific. Please see Tripadvisor for views on how they treat people. They are getting away with theft. I feel that people need to be wary of booking this company. What an absolute disgrace

Thankyou for this two day excursion where we werer treated to the best that Lisburn (Lisboa) had to offer but most of all more places that we could have hoped for, due to hills and cobbled streets and steep hills. Having been before I was shocked by what we could now see with our guides and vehicle. Our first day was with Pedro, a knowledgeable photographer, who took us to some very high, narrow and basically inaccessible spots for wheelchairs as well as visits to churches and most importantly the famous custard tart factory(Delicious) were he managed to time our arrival between large queues( lucky I guess). Our second day was with Sergio who continued the tour of the old town but added in trips to some beautiful beaches and the "Sanctuary of Christ the King" Two excellent guides who were very knowledgeable about all thinks Portuguese and a vehicle that allowed the wheelchair user to be part of the group and not stuck in the back
