Takumi was a fantastic tour guide, as a solo traveller in JP, even before the trip he was giving me pointers on the weather, what to prepare for etc. Additionally he was very well prepared and thoughtful of the itinerary for me, ensured that I get to see all that I want to see, all that I wanted to do. It felt less like a guide was bringing me along, and more like a good friend was introducing his home to me. Takumi was a great ambassador for his city. We enjoyed his company showing us Kamakura and its key sites. He also took us to little utility stores to get a few odds and ends we needed. And introduced us to ginkgo seeds roasted- they’re delicious! Thank you Takumi for taking care of a vegetarian lunch for us- the most delicious one we have had in Japan so far! We ended like we have a friend in Kamakura!

Deen was friendly and easy going. We decided to do a tour last minute after having been in the Tokyo area for a week already. Having a knowledgable guide was a nice break from having to figure everything out on our own with what little Japanese we know. Deen matched our group's vibe. I personally wanted to learn a lot about the history and culture but hadn't purchased a tour like this in the past so didnt know what to expect or ask for. My travel mates seemed to be more interested in broad strokes and light sight seeing. Deen was able to balance those. I use Viator to reserve because my mom had a coupon code for me. Deen mentioned some longer hiking tours and those sounded interesting to me. If I had the opportunity I would definitely look into those. I think I would have liked to have more information thrown at me because I dont know what I dont know. :) One of my friends was hoping we'd have time to sit down to eat more than a snack, but I did point out to her I only bought a half day tour..
