Would highly recommend! Sebastiaan’s passion for Dutch history and its lasting influences on the rest of the world was fascinating. We had excited discussions regarding what we learned. He was friendly and the walking pace was ideal. Seriously, do it!

We had a great tour with our guide Misaël today. You can tell that he is a local as he knew every fact, corner and anecdote about Amsterdam and was able to answer all of our questions. Not only did he do this with a great sense of humour, he also gave the best recommendations for our stay afterwards (museums, restaurants, pubs etc.) In spite of the cold and wet weather (even snow), he made sure that we enjoyed every moment (by providing shelter indoors where possible). We would definitely book a tour with Misaël again when in Amsterdam. Thanks a lot! Silvia und Achim

The walking tour is well worth the time and steps. Sebastian is a great guide. Engaging & very knowledgeable about the area. I always recommend a short tour early in your trip. You learn so much & are quickly acclimated to the city. Highly recommend the Free Walking Tour Classic.

Robin was an incredible tour guide and made Amsterdam truly come alive. He is extremely knowledgeable, upbeat, and genuinely enthusiastic, which made every stop feel engaging and meaningful. He shared fascinating history and stories while keeping the tour fun and lively the entire time. One of my favorite parts was visiting places I never would have found on my own, especially the hidden churches, which were such a memorable and special experience. If you want to really understand and feel the city, Robin is the person to tour with.

I joined a walking tour in Amsterdam with Nadine from the Free Walking Tour agency, and it was honestly one of the best tours I’ve done. Nadine was super friendly, funny, and really knowledgeable about the city. She explained the history in a simple and interesting way, and also shared lots of small local stories that I would’ve never discovered on my own. The route was well planned — not too rushed, not too slow — and she kept the whole group engaged the entire time. I really appreciated how she answered everyone’s questions with patience and gave great recommendations for food, places to see, and things to do. Overall, a really great experience. If you’re in Amsterdam and want to learn about the city in a fun way, I definitely recommend taking a tour with Nadine!

Really enjoyed this walking tour! Krijn was so personable and easy to get along with, and you could tell straight away he knew what he was talking about. He shared loads of interesting bits about Amsterdam that we would never have picked up on by ourselves. It was relaxed, informative, and just a really lovely way to see the city. Definitely recommend!

Aaron is a superb guide. Just the right mix of history, humour and cultural oddities in the tour to keep you engaged throughout. I learnt a lot but even if you're not after a factual 2 hours it's still a fun experience
